May 5th 2012 and have just spent a week at the Dunchoille. After reading some of the very old reviews ( around 2005 - which really should be taken off here as no longer applyng at all) I was very pleasantly surprised to find a lovely hotel with the staff incredibly obliging. The place was immaculately clean and the food... More

I found the hotel staff very helpful and attentive, the breakfasts were well both varied and well cooked but the sausages were crap( I am assured they are to be changed)A comfortable bar and loungeI enabled me to really enjoy my week there and I will be returning to the hotel when I next visit the Island I thought it... This hotel is as dated as its website photo's. Nice lick of paint on the outside very poor on the inside. The rooms are very cramped. Most twins should be singles and don’t even bother with the triple’s. If you think a shower is standard these days? Think again! Bath’s in most rooms. The rooms are very dated and so... More

Stated in brochure there was a bar, this was so but only open 5pm-7pm! Decor shabby and dated and carpets rather in need of deep clean! Pool area clean and tidy. Breakfast ok but value sausages ( cheap and nasty! ) Service generally good and staff helpful though not overly friendly A good 20minute walk from town centre but was... More

I agree with the rest of the reviews that the outside of the hotel and breakfast room along with the staff are the best bits of the hotel and that is were it ends. Our room was in the attic No15. They had crammed 3 single beds into this room with hardly any space to walk round as we had... More

The outside of the Hotel is far better than the interior, the bar area had the owners dogs constantly in the room and were always sniffing around for food, the bar was only open for a couple of hours. The bedroom was in need of decoration as was the en-suite. The breakfast room was the best part of the hotel... More

Great Hotel, brilliant staff. Nothing was too much trouble, even driving you in order to make an event. Breakfast was very varied, always hot and fresh. Has new internet facilities available for guests. I cannot recommend this hotel too highly for everyone. The atmosphere in the bar in the evenings was second to non and was very enjoyable. More
