Another lovely stay at Highway Farm, this time in Ganders Cottage. Pauline and John are brilliant and generous hosts, Ganders Cottage was well set out, well equipped and, as is normal at Highway Farm, spotlessly clean. Highway Farm has a beautiful view, there are great walks across to Symondsbury, to Eype and then on to West Bay spotting Broadchurch locations... More

We had a one night stay in gander cottage before continuing our journey to Cornwall , John and Pauline were a joy to have as hosts, nothing to much trouble, the cottage was spotless, the bed comfy. The breakfast was one of the best I have had.fresh fruit, cereals, and a local produce full English. Beautiful gardens to sit in... More

Chose this for a getaway to celebrate 20th wedding anniversary and well chuffed. You just never know... but this worked out perfect. The location was easy to find (even in the fog); the room great; breakfast lovely; Pauline & John very attentive hosts. The surroundings are great to get away from it all and the wealth of local knowledge that... More

Just a lovely B n B - nothing to fault at all. We've stayed in a beautifully appointed en suite room in the main house a few months ago and were lucky enough to have the two bedroom Gander Cottage this weekend. Both beds were comfortable with lovely bed linen. The en suites were perfectly clean with nice deep baths.... More

Great place to stay. Pauline and John are such generous hosts and so knowledgeable about things to do and see as well as the best places to eat (and drink). The rooms in the B and B are very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well appointed. The views are wonderful, great walks straight from the doorstep and a pub within walking... More

Where to start? Pauline and John are wonderful; attentive but not intrusive. During our visits we've occupied several rooms and the self-catering apartment. All were large, comfortable, spacious and well appointed. The bathrooms were all fantastic and definitely worthy of mentioning on their own. Then there is breakfast: always fabulous, always something different if you fancied it; warm ruby grapefruit... More

Really comfortable room, they've tried to think of everything. Breakfast was excellent around a big farmhouse table, where guests from all walks of life got chatting. Good location for pubs for evening meals (we used the George in Chideock and the Ilminster Arms). Good for visitng Bridport's Saturday street market, and not too far from Lyme Regis either.

We had booked to do a 2 day hazel wood furniture making course with 2 nights B&B. Pauline and John were fantastic hosts, the spacious room was very comfortable and the breakfasts certainly set us up for the busy days ahead. The course ( held in the barn beyond the house ) was tough but rewarding and, under Peter's expert... More

Great hospitality, excellent home cooking with local food, a good room and personal service. Highway Farm is in a great location in West Dorset. We left our car at the farm and went for a fantastic walk along the coast path. There's nothing to fault and it's good value too. I'm sure we'll go back and we'll definitely tell friends... More
