Stayed here for three days while running a small conference. The staff and owner could not have been more helpful. Breakfasts were very good. My room had a four poster bed and was comfortable. I'm a bit mystified by some of the other reviews for this hotel as they certainly do not describe my experience. It's a pity there isn't... More

This hotel is a disgrace, the staff are not friendly when members of my family asked to see the manager to complain about the inflated price for a dirt box (broken lamp shades, ripped curtains, cracked shower cubicle and nails on the floor) which i may add my room was the same !! they were asked to leave the hotel. i... Very friendly, pleasing and willing to assist staff, who were still professional and courteous. Unfortunate that the restaurant was temporarily closed(recession), but the breakfast room was fresh and the breakfast itself was "extensive", well prepared and presented, and fully met the "I'm starving"(but not for long) criteria. Evening meals did not create a problem as Cupar and the surrounding area... More

We stayed in this hotel for convenience as we had a wedding at a nearby castle. We paid £75 per night which was a complete rip off. The staff were friendly but not accommodating when I complained about the size of the room and the smallest window ever. We were stuffed in the 'top floor' mostly likely known as the... More

A lovely peaceful antiquated Small Hotel with a breakfast that would please Gordon Ramsey, ok, it's dated and the shower cubicle is the same size as a postage stamp but the ralaxing calm atmosphere and comfortable beds and superb staff make it a gem. It's well run, nothing is too much trouble, the breakfast is superb and the watching the wild... More

I stayed at this hotel four five nights and had a great time. The hotel is gorgeous, with a very personal touch. A real British hotel with fabulous breakfasts and great dining. The grounds are lovely with rabbits on the lawn. This hotel is in a small village but convenient to Edinburgh, 45 minutes by fast train, and Dundee. The... More

A good example of what non-complaining Brits will put up with. All a hotel has to provide is a bed, hot water and food. We stayed two days and getting hot water was a total lottery. I heard another couple complain there was no water and they were told "it had never happened before" Yeah, right! We managed to knock... More

we stayed at this hotel as we were going to a wedding at a castle nearby. We stayed Friday and Saturday night and paid £90.00 per night. The room we booked was room 4 with the four poster bed. The room itself was small and was not worthy of the £90.00 a night tarrif. There is no phone, no fridge,... More

this is only a downmarket b&b posing as a hotel. The breakfast was inedible, the rooms poorly equiped, no evening meal available, no proper bar------- never again!!! My enthusiasm for camping has returned. More
