We spent two weeks travelling around the Shetlands and Orkneys with the last night of our holiday booked at Eastward House. I had a feeling it was going to be special just by the pictures I saw on line and by talking to Patrick when I booked it. We were made so very welcome on arrival and encoraged to make... More

I have stayed in this charming B & B three times now and each time has made for a wonderfully unique stay. The hosts Keiko (cool and serene) and Patrick (a great, eccentric host with the most) are fun and lovable, as are their delightful kids. The first time we were treated to a gorgeous Japanese dinner, the next, a... More

This is a great place to stay and the food was superb, we had the Japanese banquet which was out of this world, authentic and delicious, our hosts were friendly and fun and explained all of the courses to us giving me an insight into another world. I live here in Orkney and it was great to have a little... More

We chose to stay after reading trip advisor reports and now understand why people raved about the place. My advice is go with the attitude that you are going to stay with your best friends, because this is how you will feel when you leave. The food is how you might dream you could make. They make an atmosphere of... More

This is one of the best, if not the best, B&B of all our 3 weeks trip in UK. The hosts are really helpful and friendly. The rooms are large and really clean. The food is excellent. We ran on a cheap budget so we don't taste their dinner. On the other hand, the breakfast was excellent and in a... More

Well, what can one say? Who would have thought that nestled within the deepest depths of Orkney, could be hidden such a gem? Fantastic company, amazing food, the highest attention to detail and a wonderfully simple but effective ethos. I cannot wait to visit again. Tim More

My father and I recently traveled to Scotland, and the highlight of our trip was staying at Eastward, a beautifully renovated church. The rooms are very comfortable, the lounge is INSANE - the space and facilities are amazing! - and the hosts, Patrick and Keiko, offered the most genuine, kindest hospitality I encountered a place filled with friendly people. And... More

For anyone who gets off the Ferry in St Margaret's Hope and is a 'foodie' if you do not visit 'The Missing Bell' you are mad !!! We had two nights with Patrick and Keiko I say that as we felt we were 'family' not guests. The first evening meal was 'Tahiti and Polynsia' such taste !! First the nose... More

Eastward Guest house owned by Patrick and Keiko White is quite simply the best place to stay in Orkney and could be the best guest house I've ever stayed in. The hosts are extremely friendly and accomodating, the rooms are clean, well furnished and bright with great views from the arched windows and the ensuite bathroom and shower was spotless... More
