Our room was spacious and had all amenities, plus there was a kitchen with tea/coffee, milk etc and facilities to heat food. The view from our bedroom - from everywhere in the house - was lovely. Our host, Dagmar, was warm and friendly and made us feel very at home; there were extensive public rooms where we could lounge around... More

It's almost a year since our trip to Scotland and I still remember and miss the Orkneys and the Roeberry House :) After a day full of action and every possible weather one can think of we arrived at the Roeberry House and were welcomed very warm and we instantly felt a sort of home. And I still have to... More

Big house with spacious, clean, well appointed rooms and a great welcome from the lovely Dagmar. We unfortunately only were staying one night as we were catching the ferry at 07:45 the next morning, and had to leave approx 07:15, Dagmar still made a cooked breakfast! Pictures from local artists on the walls, views over the sea from the window,... More

We took friends to stay at Roeberry as we had stayed there before and knew that they would love it. They are from the US and can be quite demanding but nothing was too much trouble for Dagmar. She has a real flair for making people welcome and at home in her home and this isn't something that can be... More

We had a great 4 day stay. The house is a gem,Dagmar- the host is a star. The breakfasts were perfect, have the continental or fish or full scottish, you will be impressed.Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. Nothing was too much trouble and her vast knowledge of the islands helped us to plan our days out. We had the run of... More

Roeberry House is in a marvellous location, I stayed there for 6 nights watching the ever changing Orkney weather, shortly after my arrival a blustery gales and it took 3 of us to hold to my belongings and get them in the house;), the weather was glorious at the weekend. If you want a vantage point for weather watching this... More

My husband and I got married in Roeberry House last summer. It simply could not have been more personal and perfect! Everything about our stay was beyond expectations. The hostess Dagmar, and her family greeted us on our arrival in such a lovely and heartwarming way that we immediately felt we had made the right decision in choosing Roeberry House... More

Roeberry is a beautiful family home in a fantastic location. We were lucky to find this place and Dagmar and her family were very welcoming - it's such a big house that you have plenty of space if you need it where you can relax . The grounds are large and there was a fabulous view from our bedroom window..... More

We couldn't have had a warmer welcome - from putting our wet clothes through the drier and suggesting we borrow the family bikes to explore to offering to book ferries and flights around the islands - and our room was extremely comfortable, with lots of space, including the use of a kitchenette stocked with fresh milk, tea, coffee and much...
