We arrived a bit earlier than stated and had a wander round the site before Deb the manager arrived and gave us our keys and electric cards. We were allocated Lodge 12 which is at the top of the site. When we entered we were pleasamtly surprised at how nicely furnished it was and well equipped. Although will have to... More

Second time visiting, last time was about 10yrs ago. lodges have been updated and look good. Deb the manageress is super and always smiling despite some hassles that week. bit cold but its highlands in spring so to be expected. 2 young daughters & the dog loved it. Girls want to go back next year already. Facilities may be basic... More

We spent four freezing nights in this dated facility with poor heating and, lots of condensation, Admittedly the weather was foul for April, but the place was freezing and costly to keep warm.( £5 electric cards added to the price) A broken window in the bathroom made the place even colder. Broken CD player, rotten toilet seat and rotten step on... More

Thank you for your review on your stay....unfortunately you were very unlucky with the weather as it is very unusual to have 10 inches of snow in April, the 3 weeks before were beautiful. We try to cater for unforeseen circumstances and the Lodge owner was on hand to offer help with trips to the shop, extra blankets etc to... More

We chose Ancarraig Lodges because it appeared to be in a wooded location, not a field with your neighbours 10 foot away from your door. The road to the lodge is narrow and steep, but not unmanageable. I actually liked the location - it's what I expected from a log cabin holiday, and it was very peaceful and quiet. We... More

Hi, I am looking forward to starting a new season here at Ancarraig Lodges....I have been working hard to make the Lodges welcoming and a comfortable stay. I am aware of some of the photos that are on this site that are now out of date...we no longer have showers attached to taps, all 12 lodges now have electric showers.... More

The lodges were lovely in a great setting and although the road to it is very steep and twisty it is fine if you take your time. Deb the manager was there when we arrived and was very helpful. The lodge was spotless and everything you required was there. The area is good for walking and as Fort William and... More

We stayed here for a week in Aug 11 and loved it. Deb the manager is more than 'just helpful'. She is so lovely and friendly, very helpful which made our stay even more pleasant. The lodge itself was awesome. Yes it's not like a 5* hotel but I rate it more than that for it's location and views. You... More

Very peaceful and remote which was just what we wanted. The manager Deb was waiting for us when we arrived, gave us advice on how things worked and left us to it which suited us fine. We had our dog with us and together we explored the Great Glen Way which is simply breathtaking. The lodge itself was spotless, as... More

We spent 5 days end of August 2011, mostly we used it as a base for Inverness area trips. Electricity is prepaid via cards and we used two of £5 for all of our stay, which wast bad at all. The lodge was clean and decorated, sofa was bit dated but comfortable, linens and towel were provided. One thing we... More

The location was great, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by the beautiful scottish hills, ideal for walking the dogs but still handy for all the major towns and tourist attractions. The lodge was basic, clean and comfortable (all that's required for a base camp). Yvonne, the relief manager was great, very welcoming and friendly, always on hand without being... More
