I cannot convey too strongly how impressed my wife and I were with this wonderful guest house. We spent five glorious days there and wished it had been longer. The owners, Howard and Cordelia, are superb hosts and Howard went out of his way to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. This is an old hunting lodge... More

Just returned from a three night stay at Balkissock lodge. We have stayed in Ballantrea for many years due to sporting interests. We did not know this little gem was there. We had a lovely warm welcome from Howard and Cordelia. There home was lovely and warm and very welcoming, nice homley smells from the kitchen. We stayed in room... More

Big thank you to Cordelia and Howard for making us so welcome. Great stay, very comfortable, lovely setting, lovely food. Dogs were also made feel very welcome in the B&B's drying room. Everybody was happy. Also had a chance to meet lovely guests staying at the same time as us. More

On a golfing trip to the southeast of Scotland, I picked the Balkissock Lodge because it looked like just what I was after. How right I was! We had such a warm reception from Cordelia and Howard with afternoon tea served immediately upon arrival. Such beautiful and cosy accommodation, we felt instantly relaxed. We had both breakfast and our evening meals at the lodge which were delicious and of a very high standard. The lodge is perfectly situated to explore the stunning coastline of South West Scotland....
