Glenapp Castle was built in the Scottish baronial style-Architect david Bryce-circa 1870. Set in many acres of mature wooded gardens, it occupies an elevated position with panoramic views over the Irish Sea to Ailsa Craig and the Isle of Arran. Once the home of the Earl of Inchcape, Head of P and O Shipping in the 1920`s, it was a... More

Delectible exquisite food, stunning grounds, magnificent views. From the minute you arrive you are made to feel so welcome. The service is impecable and all staff members are most obliging and corteous. We enjoyed a picturesque and scenic walk with views of the coast and were provided with a delicious picnic lunch with the most wonderful shortbread. Breakfast is a... More

On arrival you are treated like royalty, which pretty much continues throughout your stay. Castle and grounds are superb, we stopped for 2 nights in the Hunter suite- luxurious and yet cosy (open fire in bedroom and snug). Our package was bed, breakfast and evening meal. 6 course evening meal, more like an all evening continual feast of the best... More

Something's in life you just know you are going to cherish and recall for many years to come - a stay at Glenapp is one of them! From the moment that we were greeted at the door until our bags were placed back in the boot of my car we could not have wanted for anything. The staff are wonderful,... More

Our family of 4 arrived on a last minute booking and had a terrific positive experience. The food was terrific, the service excellent. The wine list quite extensive and reasonably priced. We were lucky enough to enjoy the suite. There are some beautiful hikes down along the creek with many different foot bridges and plenty of entertainment for our 12... More

Just returned from a flying visit to Ayr racecourse where we stayed at the delightful Glenapp castle. In brief the service is incomparable, the food superb and the accommodation traditional. Unfortunately being a gluten free piscatarian I dread eating out but on this occasion nothing was too much trouble. The grounds are lovely and private we only wish we could... More

I have just returned from my fourth visit to Glenapp Castle with my husband over Easter. We just can't keep away from this beautiful, intimate and romantic getaway. From the moment you enter the gates of the estate and drive up the long sweeping driveway past the monkey puzzle tree the serenity and sense of being away from it all envelopes... More

Wow what an experience felt like a dream come true. I visited this establishment for my aunts wedding and what a time we had. The full visit was first class and I could not fault it in any way this was mainly due to the kind hard working staff who went out their way to make our visit special. The... More
