Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Bowmore Cottages in August 2012. Very comfortable accommodation and very well equipped. Patio doors from living/dining room opened onto walled landscaped garden area - mild weather meant we could have breakfast outdoors and take coffee down to sea wall with views over Loch Indaal! Stayed in Garden Cottage in Juy for 3 nights. The kitchen area looks on to the back courtyard and therefore the sea, so lovely to sit there. Stayed at the Stillman's cottage for 4 nights in March 2012 whilst doing some family research around Islay. The house was immaculate- very clean, tidy and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed our free bottle of whisky in the evenings whilst sitting around our gas flame fireplace. What a great place to stay, I stayed in the Mashmans cottage, superbly equiped. The cottage is inside the gates of this wonderful distillery. Islay fantastic place to visit, at this time of year - thousands of geese, golden eagles seals etc etc and of course 7 distilleries

Visiting in February 2012 and expecting terrible weather, we were delightfully surprised to find that the temperature was up to 13C on one day. A family party of 9, we stayed at The Bakehouse, the largest house in the complex, owned and run by Bowmore Distillery. I can only add to BigSpo review that this is fantastic accommodation. The quality, cleanliness and location make this place a winner. I was lucky to stay in the "Old Bakery" on the same trip and had a brilliant time. The only downside, and I mean a very small one, is that trying to cook breakfast for 13 hungry, hungover... More

Stayed here for three nights in the "Stillmans Cottage" We were in a large group and had also hired the much larger "Old Bakery" next door. The location is perfect, across the road from a pub, Chinese Restaurant, shops and round the corner from the distillery itself.
