Having heard a lot of hype about the Mishnish, dropped in on a visit to Tobermory. The place was dead, the barmaid seemed totally uninterested, had a drink and left. Unfortunately, had to visit the loo. Looks like it hadn't beed cleaned from the previous night. The whole place was grubby, we went a few doors along to the macdonald... More

Visited the Mishnish, been years, hasn't changed one iota! Only issue is you need wellies to go to the loo - not acceptable these days More

Just popped in here to avoid a rain storm but found this good traditional pub serving their own beer and enjoyed a pleasant hour and a very welcome bowl of tasty fish chowder served with warm crusty bread. You can go next door in the same premises for a more upmarket restaurant meal but we enjoyed a couple of decent... More

but in desperate need of updating & cleaning. We couldn't bring ourselves to eat there, due to the eye-watering stench coming from the gents toilets. The feel of the place is great though as were the little snug rooms at the rear. Quaint but tired. More

We visited tobermory out of season and had a few options of hotels and bnb's but we chose mish nish as we felt it was the nicest and had a great location on the main street and next to the adjoining pub. The hotel was warm and friendly and the rooms were comfy and although the place was a little... More

We had no choice but to stay in this room as the hotel was full. The decor is like a bad 1950s horror movie, red walls and ceiling, black doors, two black lamps on either side of the bed and one little red lamp in a corner. Together with the black chest of drawers this made for a very dark... More

We loved the Mishnish Hotel. Staff were helpful and welcoming, including Mr McGinty, the resident ginger Tomcat. The room was very comfy, warm and spacious, overlooking the harbour. The duvet was extra thick. We ate in the restaurant and had a great meal and breakfast was also well cooked. The books in our room and the guest lounge were an... More

We stayed in the Mishnish for 3 nights at New Year and enjoyed excellent hospitality. The bedroom, breakfast room and restaurant had been decorated to a high standard and the staff were very attentive and could not have been more pleasant and helpful, accomodating any additional requirements without fuss. The restaurant was great value for money and served a delicious... More

We visited Tobermory in late December for Mr. Peabubble's 40th birthday and went to the Mishnish on the recommendation of our landlady. The bar is friendly and quaint with traditional decor and cosy nooks and crannies to take refuge in, one of which conceals a beautiful (though sadly locked) piano. Sitting by the fire in our own snug, sipping whisky... More

My partner and I stayed at the Mishnish for the weekend ten days ago and we had a lovely time. We were made very welcome from our initial enquiry to booking and on arrival we were greeted by our first names which was such a lovely friendly touch. The room we stayed in 'The Mishnish' was first class and the... More
