On arriving at Flodigarry, it's impossible not to be excited by the setting. We stayed in Flora MacDonalds cottage which was cleN, small but cosy and quiet at night (as we had no one above us). There is a small garden in front of it which is well kept but does block the views. The cottage had everything we needed... More

I planned our trip to the Hebrides carefully, and investigated many inns online. I picked Flodigarry as our last stop in the Highlands, before our return to Glasgow and our flight home. I was hoping that it would be a highlight of our trip, so that we could end it on a high note. I was right! I know it's... More

Great location, lovely gardens and decent grub make this a good place to stop and munch if you're in the Staffin area. Good to see they have some local beers on draught (one was off but replaced without question as soon staff were made aware) and the food was fresh, plentiful and delicious (mussels especially). More

We only stopped in for lunch, we didn't stay. But it has a really lovely setting, helpful and friendly service at the bar, food was nice, nice preservation of a lot of the old features in the bar area, and very welcoming even for visitors who are dressed and sweaty from a bike ride More

This is an old building but the public and private rooms are very well kept to a pre war design. En suite plumbing is of anitquated design but fully functional, beds are comfortable and you get all the room extras one would expect. The location and views are just stunning. Gardens well kept. Food is outstanding. Overall a warm comfortable... More

Beautiful location, stayed in Flora MacDonald's cottage which was a positive experience. Disappointed in the breakfast, bacon dry and hard, potato scone burned. We were not offered or asked if we wanted more tea or coffee at breakfast. Nor whether we preferred brown or white toast, but were given both types. I stayed here 10 years ago and had a... More

Sure, the uber-critic will point out jaded bits of fabric or decor, but this is a cosy, homely and comfortable place to stay and eat. Go visit - they're nice people More

My girlfriend and I visited Flodigarry to get away from it all. Unfortunately the weather was not great which restricted some of our plans. The hotel was stunning. The staff were very friendly and efficient. They always seemed keen to help out whenever asked. The free whiskey and sherry on arrival helped us to ease off from the long (beautiful)... More

I stayed here (for the third time) in October and would dearly have loved to have stayed for much longer than the three nights. The hotel is lovely, the food excellent, and the location - which feels like the edge of the world - is breath-taking, especially at sunrise. There is nothing in the world more relaxing than settling down... More
