We stayed with Al and Sarah over the Easter holidays this year (2012) and had a fantastic time. It was a perfect base for our hiking trip and to return to Cranford after a long day in the hills could not have been more welcoming. There was always a home cooked treat waiting for us (chocolate brownie was my favourite)... More

My mate and I stayed here for 5 nights on a walking holiday at the end of Feb 2012. There is terrific hill walking around Braemar. But the title refers to the Cranford Guest House, not the Larig Gru. I have been staying in B&B's in Scotland for 40 years, and this is the best I have seen. The owners,... More

Great B&B - lovely hosts, comfortable rooms (with fabulous home-cooked treats every day) and excellent value. We stayed for 3 nights, February 2012, and next time we go up - and we will again because it's a lovely part of the world - we won't try anywhere else unless they're full! More

A delightful welcome, places recommended for dinner. The room was nice and clean, although a little odd having the shower in the room. All facilities, Wifi etc. Lovely breakfast. More

Thanks for your review. We've been busy refurbishing across the winter, The shower in this room has now been moved to a separate en suite shower room. We have also made a family room. One of the doubles has also been extended to provide more space and give the option of a child bed if required. Hope to welcome you... More

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend and found the guest house to be excellent in every way. The owners made us a cup of tea when we arrived, and there were plenty of nice touches. The location is also great, just on the edge of Braemar and is in close proximity to a couple of good restaurants.... More

Cranford Guest House is a jewel in the crown of Royal Deeside. Start the day with a magnificent breakfast cuisine — gourmet choice in abundance — and finish it with a slice of delectable cake along with a wee dram in the lounge [no charge but donations to Mountain Rescue]. Quietness reigns supreme outside, whilst inside you are comfortably at... More

Very good B+B to stop at- the rooms are very comfortably furnished with all you need, with Sky TV. The breakfasts were excellent- loads of choice and well cooked. What sets some places apart are the little things- this B+B had a laptop in the lounge guests could use to check the internet, send emails etc, plus a bottle of... More
