Great views, nice relaxing atmosphere around the whole place. We stayed in room 9 which had a beautiful bathroom and views over the sea. Dinner was nice and I particularly enjoyed the venison pâté and Jura whisky. Breakfast also good and best of all we had an amazing deep sleep in a very comfortable bed. I would of preferred a... My boyfriend and I were greeted straight away and taken to our room on first floor, view from room was amazing (sea view) though the room was 'snug', we stayed in room 6 which had a small bathroom. You could hear the people in the bathhroom next door which is a little disturbing. The main reason of thr stay at... More

The only pub on Jura, but not complacent because of it. Badly needs some real ales on draft, but the beers they do have are kept well. Views out to sea from the bar. Reasonable prices and good restaurant food/service. Brendan the barman is brilliant. Lovely beer garden across the road with palm trees.

It's not every hotel where you can watch a great northern diver catching its breakfast from your bedroom window - but we did here!. A welcoming and friendly place to stay, with nicely refurbished rooms, helpful staff, wonderful views and a distillery next door. Pippa the dog was welcomed too but restricted to our room and the bar (where she... More

I stayed here last week as part of my island hopping experience. Such a lovely place. The hotel was lovely and we were warmly welcomed. Our evening meal was delicious as was breakfast the following morning. Our room had stunning view and we were lucky enough to see a deer up close when he stopped by on the front lawn... More

I have visited Jura many times over the years, and nearly always stopped in the hotel. Often for a drink or meal and occasional stays in the hotel - more frequently camping in the garden. The hotel has improved over recent years. The rooms are turned out to a good standard, breakfasts are enjoyable however the evening food/restaurant service in... More

Our whole trip was booked up a bit last minute, island hopping one day/night at a time. We rang the hotel and got the last room they had left which was beautifully decorated and had an amazing view. We had a walk around the island and were amazed to see so many palm trees. We had a superb dinner in... More

Went home to Jura for my 50th Birthday/a walk down Memory Lane and stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was immaculate and the beds very comfortable. Warm and cosy with excellent food what more could you ask for? We had Room 3 (side and front view) and it was fantastic to waken up and see the sun rising over... More

A winter visit meant the hotel was very quiet, but we were well looked after, fed and watered. Our room was freshly decorated with a new en-suite. Very comfortable with stunning views of the coast. We ate in the bar, which also happens to be the only public bar on Jura. The food was good and wholesome and reasonably priced... More

Jura has been described as one of the last places of wilderness in the UK, and that's not far wrong. It has one road, one distillery, one hotel. Luckily, the hotel is an excellent one. Warm, friendly, with good honest food and immaculately clean rooms. I was lucky enough to be in Room 6, with a view out to sea.... More
