My wife and I stopped in last minute on our way to Oban, the food was perfectly prepared and presented. The staff were very pleasant and the traditional highland hospitality that One expects from a rural highland establishment was delivered 100%. We will be passing through Taynuilt again in the next few weeks and intend to stop in again, however,... More

My husband, our young son and I stopped here on the way to Oban in April. We had seen the very positive recent reviews on Tripadvisor and thought we'd give the food a try. The menu was simple and classic, focused on locally sourced produce. What sets this place apart is the quality of the food and the fact that... More

Had a meal with friends, having been advised the new owners had made a substantial improvement to the menu. The service was somewhat lacklustre and slow but the menu was unimaginative - especially for one of the party who is vegetarian. The bar area had been renovated but was cold in appearance and temperature - both of which could have... More

I went to the Taynuilt Hotel yesterday for Lunch, which was superb. A great choice, with fresh and local food, for a good price. The Service was excellent. It's fantastic as the Hotel had been very shabby and under administration last year. A new young couple have completely turned it around. Well worth a visit, and don't take any notice... More

went for sunday lunch today for the first time since under new ownership. The food was delicious , everything home cooked and not a frozen veg or yorkshire pudding in sight !!! This will be our favourite place for Sunday lunch, best in Oban.
