We were able to book a room on short notice. We booked the sea view and (after cycling) enjoyed a couple of relaxing hours in the afternoon sun in the lounge and our room - both have a very cosy atmosphere. We felt welcome and the owner was very friendly and helpful. And then there was the breakfast - probably... More

Great b and b. We had a wonderful view. The bed was great. Clean and comfortable. Our host was wonderful. The fish cakes for breakfast were awesome. The place to spend your time in rothesay. More

I wouldn't return. Being ex locals (both my husband and I lived on the island for over 20 years) we really want to see business on the island flourish. I'd read some of the poor reviews on here and spoke to some of our friends still living on the island and if I'm honest I was undecided about the Glendale.... More

I stayed over a weeknd in June 2011. We had a lovely double room at the front with amazing sea views. The room was decorated to a high standrd and the ensuite shower was very nice (new i thnk) and lovely clean (new) towels each day. The owners were very helpful and firendly. Breakfast was great and tasty. We regularly... More

Stayed in June and despite having a back bedroom with no view (it was the twin room) found the place very comfortable and warm. The beds comfy with lots of pillows. The guest lounge is ace. Warm with the sun streaming in and an amazing view of the bay outside. We sat in the bay window and watched the ferry... More

Owners were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was very nice. The building was in need of some TLC, but the bedroom and lounge were in good condition. More

We enjoyed our stay in the Glendale. Clean, comfy, all the amenities. However, we were stuck on the island due to severe winds and the ferries stopped running. We needed to get off the island, and our host drove us all the way to Glasgow so we could make our flight! He had to stay the night away from his... More

I stayed here for 2 nights and found it very comfortable claen and hospitable. The full breakfast was enormous. There is a comfortable and large resident lounge. There are a couple of parking spaces in front of the guesthouse and there is plenty of free on-street parking. More

I stayed at the Glendale for a week and was very happy there. It is perfectly located five minutes walk along from the harbour and all the amenities. There is a fabulous upstairs lounge for the use of visitors and the views from the bay window are tremendous. All the vistors commented on what a lovely room it was. The hosts... More

This is a very good value for money 4 star guest house. I was away with my partner for a short break for a couple of days, and we felt the service was excellent. Room was huge and had a brilliant view over Rothesay Bay. Very comfortable. Great En-suite bathroom - very modern. The breakfast was absolutely brilliant (full scottish).... More
