Went for an evening pint here recently with a friend as I liked the look of the place and it appears in the CAMRA guide. Thoroughly unimpressed with the service, at eight pm we were informed by the very terse barman that they were no longer serving food and in any case they were fully booked. Having passed through the...

Who hires the most ignorant, unhelpfull and miserable bar man in Scotland? Its a shame to say this lovely Scottish pub was ruined by the presence of this disgracefull Englishman.
Asked if we could sample the local ales was returned by a grumpy retort of 'we don't give out freebies'. It was busy in the restaurant that day, asked if...

Stayed here for one night in May 2012. The hotel is set in a great location with very scenic views. Our room was very comfortable and more than adequate for our short stay. The staff were very friendly, the bar was very warm and welcoming ( with lovely log fires) and the food high quality pub food with generous portions.

We were very pleased with this inn as a one night stay in the area. Very friendly staff and tasty good value food. The room was clean and a reasonable size. The inn is right on the loch side with great views to enjoy whist eating breakfast. Obviously popular with the locals as well.
I would recommend as a place...

We did not stay at the Village Inn, we were staying up the street at the Loch Long Hotel on a Lochs and Glens Holiday. We decided to explore Arrochar and wandered into The Village Inn for a drink. The exterior is gorgeous and well-maintained, both the building and the lawn. The pub was warm and inviting. I am an...

We recently stayed at the Village Inn for 1 night on our whirlwind trip through the highlands. The Inn was well above expectations. Everything was perfect, the staff, Service, rooms and breakfast were all top notch.
I wouldn't hesitate recommending this Hotel to any of my friends. We managed to get a favorable rate online so didn't expect anything too...
