We stayed in this b&b for just one night and booked it on the go just two hours before we arrived. The house doesnt look the best from outside but this gives the wrong impression. We found an extremely cute room with a lot of love in the detail, such as free sherry and and a good range of dvds... More

Burnbrae is a great base if you want to walk in the Loch Long area. Located right on the banks of Loch Long and immediately next door to the Village Inn, the location couldn't be better. The twin bedroom is very spacious, the view from the shower is unbeatable and the breakfast is delicious. However, I would have to agree... More

This is not a standard bed and breakfast. The location is second to none - with just a quiet road between the B&B and Loch Long and the Cobbler on the other side of the Loch. Its also next door to a fantastic country pub with good food and friendly staff. We had the double room, great view of the... More

Ideally situated on the shores of Loch Long with the attractive Village Inn right next door, Burnbrae proved immaculately clean and comfortable and it served an excellent breakfast. However, the bedrooms, breakfast room and hallway reeked of cigarette smoke, despite the fact that all the windows were open on our arrival (in February, with the central heating full on!) and... I am sorry that you found our house "smokey" but there is a pub next door with two log fires and we seem to get most of the whiff!.As to my "smokers cough" Thank you for your concern, but was just getting over a winter cold. I wish you had said something at the time and it could have been... More

I took my Spanish fiance on a trip to my birthplace, Arrochar, and stayed here and Janice looked after us beautifully! So many lovely Scottish touches including the Monarch of the Glen over our bed! Wonderful views, attention to every detail, terrific breakfast and we changed our plans to return there after our trip to Islay. Loved it! More

This is a delightful B&B; but actually it is more like a hotel! The rooms are spacious and tastefully appointed with so much attention to detail and lovely views across the loch. The little extras like the sherry decanter,DVD's,CD's etc were most welcome. The Village Inn next door is perfect for dinner. Very friendly service and would certainly recommend this... More

We stayed here on our way up to Skye and again on the way back to break the journey. Each time for one night only. We have a small dog and were looking for a dog friendly B&B. This is a small B&B with 2 bedrooms and is kept immaculately by the owner Janice. There is a twin and a... More

Our last stop in a month's tour of Scotland and we couldn't kave done better. Just two rooms, each very different from the other in terms of decoration. One, a twin room in modern, bright art deco style the other a double in heavier more traditional Scottish style. Both rooms are large and the facilities on offer were excellent. Good... More

We spent 2 very happy days at Burnbrae with Janice, fabulous walking (the Cobbler and Ben Vane are both recommended!). The pub next door had just the right kind of food on offer after a long day walking, and the complimentary sherry has started a very (very) bad habit.... Not that I needed any more (thanks Janice!!). Clean, friendly, and... More

Stunning B & B on the shores of Loch Long. Lake view (if it ever stops raining), plenty of parking, next door to decent pub. Room far above what you might expect, beautifully decorated and every detail carefully thought out. The complimentary sherry and chocs were a particularly nice touch. Would have no hesitation in recommending this place. More
