Great location and a lovely cabin - particularly liked the fire and the owners dogs, Gwen and Buddy, who came to visit sometimes :) The cabin had everything you need, plus a dishwasher! Staff were great - really helpful and friendly. Loved the area - especially the Arygall Red Kite Visitor centre in Doune. We watched them coming into feed,... More

We stayed in a log cabin for the weekend at the beginning of October 2011. The cabin was well appointed, comfortable and perfect for a variety of purposes. We would recommend this to various groups to a romantic getaway, family or a get together with friends. We particualrly liked reading the scrap book with other guests reviews. All of them... More

we recently stayed at balquhidder braes caravan park with one trailer tent and one 4 man tent. Like some others, booked solely on the website strength! (it looked brilliant, kids play park, picture of tents next to wilderness, newly refurbished toilets..... but unfortunately just before we left for Balquhidder, the website was changed!!!) To say it was awful would be... More

We have recently spent our third stay at Balquhidder Braes. On this occasion, we booked a cabin.WOW! We have been happy with the caravans in the past, but the cabin, is home from home luxury! Although just our two selves, we were happy to book the 6 berth cabin, as the 4 berths were already booked. The views from the... More

Stayed for 2 nights. No issues at all. The log cabins are centrally heated and have a living flame fire in the sitting room very warm even when it was -15 outside! Very nicely furnished and kitchen well equipped, much better than some previous log cabins we have stayed in. Great for walkers, cyclists and those who just want to... More

Stayed at Balquhidder Braes Caravan Park..7 days of rain and we were tied to the Park and it's facilities..The problem being the facilities were almost non existent. No wifi internet access, no cell phone signal, TV signal hardly worth switching the TV on for. DVD player saved the day. The Park's caravan was clean, - bring your own towels -... More

I was slightly surprised by this review - we dont claim to facilities other than a small playpark and laundry. We are within the National Park and the area is ideal for walking, cycling etc and there are lots of things to do roundabout - but we dont have a bar/ club etc, its not what we are about. Most... We had a lovely weekend in one of the very well equipped log cabins; despite the snow it was very warm inside, and the kids (4&7) enjoyed watching the chickens & ponies, as well as having the freedom to run around. The owners were friendly & helpful, with young children of their own, and the shop had lovely venison steak... More

We visited Balquhidder Braes Holiday Park for the 2nd time in March 2009 for a weekend break and stayed in a 3 bedroom lodge which was absolutely beautiful. We have stayed in various lodges throughout the country and this was by far the best. Well appointed, spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. This is a great park for a quiet and... More

Must agree with the previous reviewer. We booked it on the strength of the website. What a mistake. We stayed in one of the log cabins which was OK, just about. The location really is terrible; right beside a very busy road, poor in terms of amenities. I have used trip advisor for excellent recommendations for other breaks, unfortunately this... More

I don't know if TripAdvisor normally covers camping/self catering accommodation, but I think this is worth a note -- The best thing about this place is, without doubt, the website. This campsite has the look, feel, and probably IS part of the disused railway line from Crieff to Stirling. The site consists of a very long service road, with (mostly)... More

Hmm - a very strange reveiw - especially as the Bridge of Balgay Post Office (much better food that us apparently) does not exist. There is a Bridge of Balgay near Dundee - but it is just a bridge in a park and is certainly not 15 miles away. Why would a genuine customer make something like that up? We... More
