A friend stayed here before and recommended we book our group to stay here for our trip to Wales, riding Afan and Cwmcarn Mountain Bike centres. We stayed in the bunkhouse which is super value and totally met our needs. Simple but perfect for our group. A big breakfast in the morning to set you up and 16oz black beef... More

This was our third stay at Green Lanterns in the last 3years, 15 mountainbikers and all of our associated bikes & kit etc... The location is great for being able to ride straight to the Afan Forest Mountainbike trails which are some of the best in the UK... The accomodation is ideal too, with great views and the bonus of... More

First impressions were breathtaking, lovely place with fantastic views. Greeted by friendly and entertaining people. The rooms were spotless and cosy. My family and I enjoyed watching the horse riding which was on site and enjoyed dining at the delicious onsite resturant T Bones. We will without a doubt be returning very soon. More

My husband and I stayed here for one night, we were mountain biking in nearby Afan. Yes, part of this hotel is an 18th century building, but there are also lots of rooms in a characterless, modern building adjacent to its prettier peer. I agree with other reviewers' remarks that that walls are paper thin, the decor dreary and, to... More

For mountain biking in Brechfa or Afan, this place is a great place to stay! Lovely clean facilities, very accommodating owners and the best steaks I have ever had! A large bar area for chilling out and drinking yourself into a stupor ;-) The bunkhouse is bargaintastic! More

Just got back from a great weekend mountain biking in Wales staying at Green Lanterns. We'd been recommended Green Lanterns by other friends and it didn't disappoint. Really friendly laid back staff, good value rooms and T-Bones restaurant served up on of the best steaks I've ever had. If you want a great base to go mountain biking, horse riding... More

I have just returned from a mid-week riding break with my son (13) and daughter (5). I am already planning a return visit with friends! Despite my family's varying competencies and ages, the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. The guesthouse rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The instructors were all patient and knowledgeable, taking their time to assess which... More

I was a bit apprehensive as I had never holidayed alone but the staff at the guest house and T-Bones restuarant were friendly and made me feel really welcome, I never felt on my own. The guest house is an amazing old house with a central staircase and heaps of history. There is authentic information about it's past on the... More

I was working in Munich when my wife rang to say she had booked us into a horse riding holiday at Green Lanterns (having worked round Europe and Britain for almost a decade, I thought great not another hotel, I stay in quite a few) My wife and children arrived a day earlier but I had to drive from London...
