Booked it for dinner at the last minute. The location, setting and landscape is really stunning. The service was very attentive and made to feel welcome and appreciated. The food was really good. I had the Fillet and my wife had the Ox. Both were very tasty and the sticky toffee pudding was the best I have had. Would love... More

We had a lovely nights stay and a great evening meal with our best friends celebrateing both their birthdays. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms and bathrooms are more than comfortable. Set in a beautiful location a few miles from Bala and Llangollen there is plenty to see and do. A great value weekend break.

We stayed for one evening with friends. This property takes your breath away from the time you set foot inside. It has to be one of the cleanest Hotels we have ever stayed in. The Hotel is quite obviously someone's home and in which large amounts of money and personal taste have been invested. We were greeted warmly by the... More

This country house hotel is the most interesting hotel I have ever stayed in. the whole place is immaculate and tastefully decorated in the period. The food was excellent as was the wine list. The owners are a lovely couple who should be very proud of what they have achieved with their hotel. I thoroughly enjoyable weekend.

We last stayed at Pale Hall fifteen years ago and nothing has changed - it is still as good as it was then. As all our family were abroad at in-laws we decided to go away for Christmas. Pale Hall immediately sprang to mind for it's friendliness, superb cuisine and beautiful location. There are only seventeen rooms and the proprietors... More

Pale Hall is a mid Victorian mansion in north Wales. A miraculous survivor of a way of life long past. It is set in beautiful countryside and, although grand, is not at all intimidating. I went for the Christmas holidays and I must say that I have never enjoyed Christmas so much. The proprietors/hosts were the most polite and generous... More

Pale is superbly maintained and offers accommodation in aristocratic splendor. Above all, it has retained its character and original features and thankfully did not feel the need to add 'contemporary twists' or some other defacing features as one occasionally comes across in period properties. At the same time, bathrooms are modern and offer all amenities. There are three large reception... More

What a beautiful building and in such a lovely postion.Very isolated but thats a plus with me.We went a s a group for my sisters birthdat bash and it did not disapoint. The grandier of the building and postion make it a real country retreat. The grounds looked very impressive and the interior was in very good condition although the... More

I think another reviewer put " a place to stay before you die" , thought that was a bit over the top ....until we stayed here . Two days of absolute bliss , staff attentative but invisible , food was some of the best we have tasted and the wine great quality yet affordable. The room we had, Rm 9... More
