We were welcomed with tea and cake, and shown to the spacious, comfortable and spotless twin en suite room. Our hostess Catherine was in no way grasping, since although we ate in with her (and very tasty it was) on our first night of four, she had no hesitation in recommending other local dining. Those recommendations were good - we... More

We have just come back from a lovely one night stay at The Old Rectory in Clocaenog. Catherine was an absolutely delightful host, second only to her lovely daughter Katie who made us feel right at home! The B&B has been recently refurbished to the highest quality, the rooms have a lot of character and are really nicely appointed. The... More

An absolutely wonderful three night stay that exceeded my high expectations. From the welcome cake and cup of tea to the final breakfast three days later there was not a thing that I could fault. If you are looking for a clean, modern and quiet room in stunning location then look no further...this is the place for you! Quick breakdown... More

We spent a couple of nights at The Old Rectory as a wedding anniversary treat over the May Bank Holiday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house is set in peaceful surroundings within striking distance of plenty of walking. Catherine was the perfect hostess, providing us with delicious food and lots of good local knowledge. The room was tastefully decorated... More

I had the pleasure of staying here for the first time on the 27th - 29th April 2012. I stayed with a group of friends and we took up the three rooms available. All the rooms where large, clean and tidy, well furnished and stocked with Tea / Coffee / Hot Chocolate / Water / Biscuits. Supplied with a hair... More

A tiny little village in a beautiful location. A real homely feel and very nicely decorated without being over the top. Very clean and tidy. Host was great and the breakfast spot on. Again, not over the top and managed to feel healthy after a full english breakfast which isn't always the case. Would definitely recommend. More

Lovely location and house, spotlessly clean, Catherine couldn't have been more friendly and helpful including drying my wet things in the kitchen and her cooking is first class. More

What a wondeful find! I'll be working in the area on business trips over the next 6 months and after the first night I realised that I had found my accommodation for the next 6 months! The bedroom and en-suite were spotless and had many nice homely touches (tea and coffee making facilities with chocolate chip shortbread biscuits mmmmmmm). Catherine... More

This is a lovely B and B and the service was excellant. We had food there on the first night as we arrived late, which was brilliant and well recieved. It was for a group of 3 couples and we had the place to ourselves and it felt like we were just at one of our houses with use of the... More
