We stayed here over the Bank Holiday weekend in May. The Guesthouse was recently refurbished and the place was delightful. The owners welcomed us, Jack talked us through the Breakfast times and menu for the next morning. We were vegetarian and notified them before arrival, so they were able to accommodate us accordingly. The room was spacious, and modern, free... More

Staying anywhere for the first time can be a lottery, but you can tell that the Arthur will be ideal before you even leave home. Their attention and friendliness over the phone and by email puts the mind at ease at once. Once there, attention to detail starts on the doorstep and from then on the quality of fittings and... As a member of the Talyllyn Railway Preservation Society I have been visiting Tywyn (and even way back when it was Towyn) for years and years. Having found "The Arthur" just over 5 years ago in September 2007 I haven't been anywhere else. Both Jack and Maggie treat me as one of their close friends and nothing is too much... More

We stayed here just one night, (Nov. 20th), but wish we'd had time for more. The room, which had a spectacular sea view, was excellent, with lots of space and a very upmarket ensuite. The food was very good, and Jack and Maggie were the perfect hosts, being friendly and sociable, and generally wanting to make sure that we were... More

I have just stayed a couple of nights at the Arthur and "what a dream". You could not find or ask for anything better. The owners were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I had a single room overlooking the sea front with a balcony. Even though it was slightly chilly that first night my friend and I... More

Knowing Tywyn intimately after holidaying as a child there for over 17 years and countless other visits since it was great to be back in the place for a few days this month. The Arthur is simply superb. I booked it following superb reviews here on Tripadvisor and the excellent quality of their own website. The Arthur is welcoming, Jack... More

Stayed here again this year, it feels like coming home the welcome is so friendly. The attention to detail is such that our choice of yogurts at breakfast was noted and Jack and Maggie made sure there was some available the next day. As we were our marshalling with Race the Train they made us sandwiches and were happy to... More

We had the pleasure of staying at the Arthur Guest House for four nights. We received a warm welcome from Jack and Maggie who did their utmost to cater for our every need. We were even offered a coice of room and chose a slightly smaller one on the first floor which was clean and adequately furnished with all amenities... More
