Detailed Reviews
My wife booked this place for our weekend getaway. We were excited to to use all the ammenities. Outdoor heated spa, bathtub, fire place, kitchen with breakfast supplied.. the music room cottage is nicely located, although the driveway entry could use better lighting and signage as you could easily miss this.
The location is peaceful and surrounded my nature, room is large and ammenities are as pictured.
But it really needs some cleaning and help with presentation (clingwrapped bread looks depressing). Spa needs a bit of a clean. This did not dampen our spirit but the limited hot water did.. only allowed 2 hot showers and was unable to fill the bathtub in the evening. Then surprise again in the morning, no hotwater to wash our face or for the dishwasher, had to manually wash the dishes in cold water.
I do like the place but for what we paid for id rather stay at a hyatt.

We stayed at the Music Room, and judging by the photos we saw it looked like a gypsies wet dream. In reality, it was quite classily decorated and had an extremely cozy and homey feel to it. Very spacious inside. The spa was the highlight, it's massive and in a really enclosed and private section of the balcony - very romantic.

I booked this accommodation purely for the fact that it had an outdoor spa so I was very excited to get there and try it out, however we couldn't even get in it as it was a million degrees. It was literally too hot to put your foot in for more than 2 seconds. I pulled mine out and it was red raw and stinging. We turned the air bubbles on to try and cool it down, but this process took over an hour and a half and it was still too hot to be in for more than 5 minutes, it was absolutely ridiculous and such a let down.
The location was good, it was very quiet, the food provided was nice and the cottage itself was small but cute, if seriously lacking in lighting (had to use my phone torch on numerous occasions, I get going for romantic, but being able to see would be preferable).
Overall it was a nice place but considering I booked (and paid) for the spa not being able to use it was such a disappointment.

+1
we stayed in the rose room, after years of wanting to stay. we were so disappointed to say the least. we loved the look of the cottage however.
No soap holder in the shower, there was metal sticking out where the holder should of been. the carpet was lifting exposing nails on the floor, i tried to light the fire however the flu was blocked causing it to go out,
the ladder to enter the spa is very dangerous , its a step ladder and not steps very slippery , the cover for the spa is falling apart and very heavy.
inside roof is covered with cob webs and lots of dust that has been there for a long time.
filter on the range hood broken and hanging down.
the bottle of wine was a $7 from Aldi, should of sourced it from local suppliers.
to the owners, its not hard to update and maintain what should have been a beautiful place to stay.
Owners dont seem to care about negative feed back
we will never be back

The pillows were lumpy, stained and smelly. The sofa had dog hair all over it and there was a definite wet-dog smell about the place. Not nice at all. We had to buy batteries for the TV remotes because they weren't working. The outdoor spa was good but there were minimal towel rails in the bathroom to house at least 4 towels. Honestly, how much does an extra towel rail (or two) cost? I guess not much, compared with the comfort of your guests. The tiny half fridge was way too small and the pots and pans had seen better days. Cleanliness does not cost much! Disappointed.

The name is absolutely spot on.. "Forget me not"... oh yeah we will definitely not forget this place.
I'm expecting so my husband wanted to organise a special getaway for our anniversary and he bought a voucher from groupon which reviewed this place as a 4.5 star accommodation. The photos looked absolutely wonderful but when we got there it was quite the opposite..
We had firstly asked to stay in Rose Cottage but instead we were given Water Garden. You might ask what was so bad??.. well the bed was broken "sinking in the middle", there was a camera in the room, the room was infested with mosquitos, pink lighting in the bathroom (which was kinda freaky) and as the description states "water garden" actually means that there is a sewage pipe pouring water with a few plants around it. Nothing close to what was shown in the photos.
Called management to assist and spent countless phone calls and way too long on the phone to someone who does not speak English. Absolutely ruined our anniversary trip. We were so mad that we just left and we up in the mountains for several hours trying to find another accommodation, and ultimately drove back to Melbourne. Instead of trying to help their customers out, all we received back from them was attitude and them saying come back from other time....

My partner organised a suprise two night trip to 'The Music Room' for me in December. It was a wonderful way to spend a couple of days relaxing. The room was beautiful and there was fresh cut flowers all through the place, the spa was heated and ready to use, the scenery was to die for and there was a lovely breakfast waiting for us to cook in the morning. I would definatley recommend these cottages to others as we had such a blissfull time! My only minor complaint was that we recieved a text message 'reminding' us to put the spa cover on when we weren't there as the owners had noticed that the car was not in the drive way - on this occasion we had just taken it off but realised we needed to duck into town to grab something prior to jumping in, it probably took us 15 minutes to do. Other than this slight intrusion into our private get away (over avery minor thing) it was lovely!

Under new management and you definitely know it.
Insensitive, rude and very poorly skilled in customer service.
We were given a gift voucher but due to long illness followed by working commitments we were unable to use it before expiry. We discussed with the previous owners who gladly listened and were happy to honor the gift voucher. Upon learning that new management had taken over I called to discuss and wow...very very bad phone experience, i will not be dealing with these people again. The woman I spoke to had a limited english vocabulary and kept repeating no no no no no regardless of what I tried to say. It was beyond fustrating. I asked for the manager or owner. The reply? You guessed it! No no no no
Sadly there was no further discussion to be had.
Sighhhhh

From the moment we pulled into the driveway a feeling of tranquility came over me.....
The host Stephen was so friendly and full of local knowledge.
We stayed in the Rose cottage, which is fully equipped with everything u need including a fireplace and an outdoor spa! We had organized in room massages which were heavenly! The decor and extra little touches that are all around the cottages really helps you forget the 'city' and transports you to another world! And it's only 45 mins from the city! Perfect!
We would definitely recommend forgetmenotcottages to anyone who wants to escape the city and experience some romantic time together!
