We enjoyed one night stay at the Galvez Hotel, Galveston, Texas and found the entire evening filled with things to do at every turn. Our room was extremely clean and very comfortable with modern decor. The beach view from our 5th floor room was outstanding, as good as Galveston gets. The Hotel is located across the street from the Gulf... More

This is a very impressive historic hotel facing the GOM. We felt welcome by the valets, front desk staff, bellmen and lobby bartender. We prepaid for the lowest price room, which was on the second floor facing the city. Although the room was not large, it was very comfortable and furnished nicely in line with the rest of the hotel.... More

We just got back from a couple nights for our Anniversary. We got there about an hour early, thinking we would just have to leave our bags, and they already had our room ready. Went in, and we had a perfect view of the ocean, and had chocolate strawberries and a bottle of wine waiting for us. Read a couple... More

Happy Anniversary and thanks for staying with us. Glad you had such a relaxing stay and thanks for noticing the size of our rooms are more than adequate - it's more about the history and charm at The Galvez. Come back soon to enjoy the Historic Pleasure Pier - The Galvez is on 3 blocks away. More

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Hotel Galvez. We had a gulf view room on the 6th floor. The room had a fridge, which was unexpected because the website did not mention it, The room was a nice size for me and my husband. There were a couple of restaurants that were within walking distance (Millers, Fish... More

Thanks for your review and for staying with us. You were upgraded to one of our 6th floor "Spa Rooms" which all have the in room fridge. Sorry about the remote control as it sounds like it needed new batteries. More

The hotel's staff are Courteous and friendly. The Hotel itself is a jewel of architecture and History. The pool is beautiful. The breakfast buffett was d.e.l.I.c.I.o.u.s., specially Mr. Allen's omelette from the omelette station. The rooms are well appointed with nice decor and double streamed showers. All in all a wonderful experience. If you're looking for a classy, high-end stay... More

We rent a beach house in Galveston every summer, but this year we aren't going to be able to go, so we decided for a quick weekend Anniversary/Mother's Day getaway with out kids in a suite at the Galvez. The hotel is historic and parts of it are beautiful. You can almost feel the history as you're sitting in the... More

What a gorgeous hotel!! From the moment you arrive with the friendly valet staff to the front desk personnel, always a smile and a hello... the lemon or strawberry infused cold water waiting for you or maybe something more adult at the bar area... the woodwork is fabulous and the history is intriging... you may get to see the downstairs... Staff was very friendly, well dressed, and professional. The service is impeccable here! Awesome place for a wedding or vacation. The hotel is stately, old, & beautiful. Furniture in the dining rooms/ballrooms could use some work. The pool area was gorgeous!! Great place to hang out! Has the best rated spa on Galveston, a restaurant, and a store inside. The... More
