i have stayed at birders haven a couple of times & had a wonderful time! as far as location, it doesn't get any better! you can walk right into the smith oaks sanctuary from your front door! the other sanctuary, boy scout woods, is just a short drive! for birders it is perfect! if you are just a 'beach goer' it is also very close to the gulf!
i highly recommend as a place to stay if you want to bird or just enjoy nature!
