Stony Ridge Ranch is every bit as beautiful, peaceful and delicious as previous reviewers have shared. As a marketer by trade, I was honestly skeptical that any venue could live up to the sentiments shared by former reviewers. But from the moment I reached out to Rollie about scheduling my trip, I was thoroughly overwhelmed with her desire to provide... More

Rollie and Steve have worked hard to make this an absolute haven for both couples and individuals like me seeking refuge and relaxation in the Hill Country. My recent stay was for a personal retreat, and Rollie made sure each day that I was happy and cared for. My stay in the Lily Peaches cabin (whose name isn't so dorky... More

After our second visit to Stony Ridge Ranch, we want to say how relaxing and restorative our stays have been. Rollie and Steve are terrific hosts; the breakfasts are stellar; and the accommodations are tastefully and thoughtfully appointed (with great book selections). The ranch is located in a beautiful setting, there's bird (and deer) watching, and lovely walks right on... More

Although the earliest I can date this is from a year ago, I and Ken actually spent our wedding anniversary weekend here in May 2009. The setting of SRR is in a rural, remote area of Texas Hill country with wild and desert-y beauty. We drove through tiny towns, not even towns, more like hamlets, and over dirt roads and... More

Unique experience with true texas extravagance, even the dirt roads and gated fences added to the ambience of the final destination. Complete with superb, private-feeling accomodations to the God created natural beauty that abounds. We stayed two nights but wished we had scheduled a whole week to refresh our spirit in this nature preserve. Rollie and Steve made us feel... More

If I could stay and never leave, I would. Rollie the owner is a beautiful person! We felt so welcomed. The warmness of this place is truly inviting and tranquil. We plan on coming again, the experience has been enchanting. Feeling at one with nature, which we were surrounded by was invigorating. A memorable get away. If your planning a... More

From the moment we arrived to the time we departed, Stony Ridge Ranch met and exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a get away with uninterrupted quiet time and no television, along with breathtaking scenery and fantastic food, then Stony Ridge is the place to visit. There were deer right outside our front porch, and we stayed in... More

The ranch is way out in the countryside & an adventure to get there for townies like us. We opted to rent an SUV to travel along the several miles of dirt roads that lead to the ranch but our hosts manage very well in a VW Passat. We stayed 2 nights in Gingersnap with a grazing tray on our... More

I just wish there were more than 5 stars in which to rate Stony Ridge Ranch. We were warmly greeted immediately upon our arrival. We were given a nice tour of the grounds and we instantly felt right at home. The hospitality shown by both Rollie and Steve adds such charm to this location. During the weekend, we enjoyed moutain... More

This was our sixth visit to Stony Ridge Ranch. Over the last few years, it has become our home in the hill country. Rollie and Steve have made us feel like old friends, and the homey decor reflects Rollie's tasteful, upscale hill country style. Rollie is an escoffier trained chef, and the food is wonderful--she's fanatical about getting fresh, locally... More
