We stayed here before since it is well located. My husband and I are retired teachers and search out value but I was badly disappointed. The rear parking does absolutely not help when all entrances are locked up late at night. If you park in the rear, there is no space in the front, you have to walk to the front to get to you room since the rear doors are locked. The night clerk was rude. I saw a bug in the bathroom sink. The lamps next to the bed did not work. When I called to report it, the choice was to change rooms. The bedspreads are worn badly and tearing in different spots. The pillows are stinky. I do not plan to return here.

If you want a descent place to stay that is close to the rodeo this is not the one to stay in. We stayed there last year for the rodeo and it is a real dump, the doors don't lock and the room over all is horrible. They need to do major upgrades on this place. I have stayed in some bad hotels but this one was the worst I had ever been in.

Near the Texas Medical Center, I am in from Atlanta, Georgia for treatment at MDAnderson. Their rates have helped with the affordability needed to be in Houston. The staff is exceptionally helpful. I have stayed at other hotels in the area and paid much much more. Yes it is an older property but it is maintained.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family and let me say this is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. We would have switched hotels, but there was a college football game in town so all of the hotels were booked for Saturday night--except this one, of course. We walked into the room and the stench was unbearable! I sent my husband to the store to purchase cleaning supplies, room deodorizer and candles. I cleaned the room and made the smell tolerable. The bathroom door would not shut, the room needed new carpet and a paint job. We were so nervous about the cleanliness of this place that I never removed my flip flops and we didn't even sleep under the covers! We had to stay Friday and Saturday night--we stayed Friday night and left the hotel around 10am on Saturday and returned around midnight. when we opened the door to our room, the housekeeping service (if you can call it that) never cleaned our room!! No new towels, bed was not made--NOTHING! We called the front desk and they were not polite, but they did give us another room a couple of doors down. We walked into that room and, as I am sure you have already guessed, the stench was horrible!! I gathered my cleaning supplies and went to work as my family transferred our belongings from the old room. Please, please, please do not stay here!!! We should have slept in the car...

Another hotel was overbooked and put us in this place. Smokey, old, just felt awful. Couldn't plug the alarm clock in. Toilet seat not fastened. I killed a couple bugs in the bathroom. Bed was bad. Towels were small and not many threads. Windows or wall let all noise from the outside into the room. Our son said this was the worst hotel he had stayed in.

I stayed here while visiting M D Anderson for my final tests. I have stayed here numerous times before. It is an older hotel, not fancy, but basic. The room was clean and quiet. The TV was old, but worked fine. The shuttle to the hospital was awesome. The people who work there are very nice and helpful. There is also a Denny's within walking distance if you are carless. There is also a McDonald's across the street and a Starbuck's next door. The breakfast is not fantastic, but it is included. I have stayed in worse, I have stayed in better. Not anything fancy, but serviceable. Make sure to ask for the medical rate if you are going to one of the nearby hospitals.

Not so friendly staff. Walked in & blood stains on the pillow! Top sheet had burn holes, no comforter, just 2 sheets around a thin blanket. No plug close to the bathroom, actually about 7 ft up wall, so good luck if you need to use a blow dryer. Shady guys that looked like drug dealers hanging around. Would not stay here again!!!!

Electrical outlets are faulty and not enough for the 2 lamps, a TV, and the alarm in the front room. The TV service has 17 of the 18 channels listed in the room, not satellite. My door doesn't close really well without slamming it. No wonder the parking lot is mostly empty. The pictures on the site are totally off the mark. Each room looks the same. The pool looks OK but given the rest of the place I dare not venture around it.

Should be listed as 1 or 1.5 stars, and pay less than $70 per night! Spend your money elsewhere! Family friendly (no drug dealers) with good customer service, but especially for people with respiratory issues don't stay here! A/C worked great - but was located in the wall at bed height so one of us had to sleep with the cold air in our face. Eventually turned and slept with head at foot of the bed! A/C is a window unit, but not installed with good insulation. You could actually see the light, dirt, hair, etc.. caught in the sides. The curtains also were stained and worn. I told the others not to touch the curtains it was soiled so badly. When the sun was up, the sunlight came through the myriad holes in the curtains. Toilet backed up. They wet vac'd but it was moist the entire visit. Toilet/shower area was very tiny and we mostly dressed standing in the tub. Breakfast is listed as ending at 9:30 a.m.but the food was all cleared at 9:15 a.m. leaving only juice and coffee by 9:25. I will never stay here again. I can't believe I paid over $50 for it!

I arrived around 10pm and got my room key and opened the door tried to turn on the lights, but they weren't working. I went back to the desk and they gave me another room... so I went in and the lights worked and the room was old, dirty and bad smell. It was so late reluctantly decided to stay, then I checked the sliding glass door to make sure it was locked, but of course it was broken and the plaster around the wall was falling off making me think it had been previously broken into. I decided to leave! This place is a dump and was priced 99.00 a night! Don't stay here!
