Our stay was pleasant. Everything about this place is antiquated which gave it a unique character. Karen was a great help to make my 1st wedding aniversary great.

If you like quiet, relaxing and freedom this is your place. Make dinner reservations for a local diner as most of them fill up quick (inside if during the summer). This is a lovely property with very clean and well maintained rooms. We stayed in the Heather room and it was quiet and very comfortable. We have stayed in other B&Bs where the bathrooms were perhaps a little old and the showers didn't work well but our room at the Tartan Thistle had a lovely bathroom with an excellent shower.... More

My husband and I had a quick get away for his birthday and had a wonderful time! The rooms were beautiful, quiet and comfy and I can't say enough about the yummy breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

really enjoyed the Tartan and Thistle in Mckinney, Tx. Excellent acccomodations within wlaking distance of downtown Mckinney which has excellent restaurants and shopping.

It was a lovely stay after a particularly hectic week/weekend! First night of good sleep I had in quite awhile! Karen is delightful!!! Full of wonderful stories!!! Breakfast was fabulous; plenty of fresh berries and fresh-squeezed juices -- my favorite! Bandit the Siberian Husky in the backyard is absolutely gorgeous!!!
