1st time at Altamarena as normally stay at Barcelo Jandia Mar and only ended up here due to no adjoining room availability at Barcelo. Comments are: Staff are very friendly and they DO speak English reasonably fluently!! Accommodation Ok, much the same as all the other all-inclusive hotels we have stayed in elsewhere in the world, the only problems you... More

Date of stay: 25 Jan - 1st Feb 12 Tour operator: First Choice Board: All inclusive We have stayed at the Feurenventura Princess on earlier holidays but felt that we would like to be closer to the ttown this time. Having read earlier reviews by British visitors expected a room on the road side of the hotel, was very suprised... More

Having recently returned from this hotel after spending a week at this hotel I will just say this hotel " delivers everything it says on the tin". If you read all previous reviews we can mostly agree with everything said(almost) but here's the warning..........if you are British and have booked with First Choice be aware all their allocation of rooms... Sadly having looked forward to this holiday for months, the whole experience at Altamerena was somewhat underwhelming. 100% focussed on entertaining the German tourist with little or no interest for us Brits, we felt a lot like second class citizens. Although we were put into a suite (slightly pretentious description) we were facing a noisy road, which we had specifically... More

we stayed here from 5/10/11 until 15/10/11 .The hotel is kept to a good standard, cleaned daily along with your room. The food choice wide and varied you should not go hungry, but the way the food is put out it is all crammed to a rather tight space ,so when a lot off prople try to get food at the... We stayed at this hotel from 1-12 October 2011. It's in a great location - plenty of shops to browse in and bars, restaurents. Shops are open until 10pm. There's a good bus service which stops outside the hotel. We stayed all inclusive. Food was good although a bit repetitive, but that is to be expected. Fruit was lovely and... More
