We reserved this accommodation for the last night of our Texas Road Trip (7 April) - we thought we would prefer this to a stay in an airport hotel. We were received very pleasantly by the young lady on duty who seemed a little puzzled as to why we should stay there and were informed that there would be no... More

My husband and I booked a long weekend to get away and relax and do some fishing, however, it was far from a resort and no Marina to be found! No amenities at all! I looked on their website for these and the reason I could not find them is because there were not any! We booked the room that... More

Agree with most of the previous reviews. We stayed during the Winter season, so it was extremely quiet. Assume there is more activity, groups, conferences, weddings, etc. during the Spring, Summer, Fall months. Rather than repeating some of the previous reviews, I'll make it short and sweet with a few pros and cons. Cons: Small rooms, restaurant not open year... More

Was originally going to travel 5 hours to San Antonio from Dallas to "take a break". Then the consideration was how long it would take to get there and back, and just wanted to get away. Did some research on places to visit on "ONE TANK OF GAS" and saw this intriguing place. I thought the restuarant would be a... More

The Lantana Resort in Pilot Point, TX is a small, tucked away lodge within Lake Ray Roberts State Park. It features 4 buildings amidst a large parking lot surrounded by the beautiful forest of the park. The main building includes their restaurant, the service desk, and a small sitting area. Out back of the lodge is a nice patio with... More

We got a gift certificate for Christmas. When we got to our room it was very warm even though they had turned on the AC hours earlier. We called and Donna from the front office came right away to check it out. When she couldn't get it to cooling we were put in another room. The rooms were nothing fancy... More

Five friends and I booked two rooms several months in advance of our May weekend visit. First they had given our two adjoining rooms away. While waiting for that to be straightened out we were told we could not drink our own bottled water in the lobby. It had to be purchased from the lodge. Restaurant service Saturday night was... More

I took a business associate out to Lantana Lodge and Resort for a business lunch and was very pleased. The setting and scenery was awesome and the lunch was one of the best I have eaten in the DFW region. I understand they are now managed by a national firm and I guess it shows, because I will be back!... More

We had our wedding at Lantana Lodge in February of 2008. We wanted a small, quaint, but nice ceremony and Lantana Lodge was perfect! Our ceremony was inside. However, they have a beautiful outdoor setting available as well. The place is rustic decor but still very elegant. We were extemely disappointed with the help we received from the management there... More

This place is worth a drive from DFW as often as you can. The main lodge has a view over Lake Ray Roberts that allows for the greatest sunset views north of Lake Travis. Make sure you have time for lunch or dinner. Their food is top rate. Their jalapeno and cheddar hamburger was the best burger I have had... More
