I booked a hotel for $387. Reserved and everything. I comedown from Dallas for the weekend and I am told that my room price has doubled due to memorial weekend... not only that but after I pay the price, I find a roach in my shower along with a couple moths in my closet.. They will not clean your hotel... More

“Doing okay with what they have to work with”

We stayed in the RV park for a whole summer. The pool is TINY and you have to share it with the motel guests.......that means it is packed all summer long. During the summer, all of Port Aransas is busy with vacationers. Our park is spread over 8 acres with 150 RV sites and near 40 motel rooms. The RV sites are way to close! I had yo pay five dollars to use the bathroom. I mean i could understand the bathroom key during spring break where strangers may just be walking in but in the middle of January? More

The Tropic Island Resort isn't anything fancy , but it is comfortable and affordable. We had a King bedroom which had a microwave and refrigerator and nice large flat screen TV. Terrible stay, our medication was stolen. We tried to report it to the owner who then got very aggitated and said we were lying. He then, with all of his staff, retaliated and did not clean our rooms, empty trash or bring us fresh towels. This was an interesting incident. After they received room service for the first time, the guest informed us that various medications were so carefully removed from each of their pill containers. We explained, this must be a mistake, for you must have a key to enter the room. This lead to the accusations of our staff stealing from them. These... More

“Everyone is extremely helpful and always friendly!!!”

This is our second year staying here during the winter months. The resort is very clean. The restrooms and showers are clean and well kept. Everyone in the office is friendly and helpful. The motel, kitchen suites, and RV park are clean and well-maintained. The clerk at the front desk was very friendly and gave us alot of helpful information on activities in the area. It is centrally located to all the shops and eating places. The swimming pool and hottub was clean. Kudos to the management. They greet you with a smile.... More
