When we opened the door, the room smelled stagnant. The bedding was wrinkled and had definitely been used already. Blood on the wall from where some one had smashed a bug. Only redeeming features is its proximity to The Back Porch Bar!! Other than that see through towels, mouldy shower curtain, bedding at worst needs to be washed and best renewed. Stayed again this year and it was a wonderful experience. Friendly and attentive staff, good breakfast choices, clean rooms, great location. Only weekend noisy people this time was a motorcycle rider who kept his radio on when he started his cycle x 2 after 10:00 p.m. Other than that, no problems.

I visit Port Aransas often, and have stayed at the Captain's Quarters a few times because its pretty convenient if you want to go fishing at the docks across the street.
