“Awful. Go somewhere else.”

We stopped in Waxahachie on a long road trip and asked some young guys in the thrift store where to stay. What a bum steer. The vibe was weird right away (bullet-proof glass at the check-in counter, various family members popping out disconcertingly), but we were too tired to look any farther.
