We stayed for one night after a day trip to Bryce Canyon NP and I was thrilled that we had chosen to stay at Redstone Cabins in Kodachrome Basin State Park rather than the busy hotels just outside of Bryce. Loved this place. It is very secluded in the middle of nowhere. The stars are amazing at night and the scenery beautiful during the sunrise and sunset. You also don't need to pay the entrance fee to the national park if you stay there. It is at the end of a 9 mile road but the room is fully equiped... More

If you want to get away with a view... This is it. Yes, others complained that it was too secluded... I don't find that something to complain about .. It is a relatively short drive to many parks. The view is amazing; hiking trails right outside your door; very clean and comfortable. I liked the picnic table on the porch!

I found this location on the internet while researching places in the Bryce Canyon "area" that accept pets (shame on the National Parks for not doing so!). Our stay at the Red Stone Cabins was the highpoint of a trip full of western adventures! Imagine having a gorgeous park to yourselves!! The owner could not have been more helpful, the cabins are immaculate and the view: unbelievable! We can hardly wait to come back!
