The Golden Lion is a great value. Room was clean and neat. Breakfast was excellent. Location is convenient to everything. Half way between Warren and Waitsfield and minutes from the mountain. Staff was friendly, courteous and very accomodating. This is one of our favorite places to stay and be sure will will be back.

We stayed 2 nights during a holiday weekend in the fall foliage season and were therefore completely overcharged for the room. The room was old, worn and very damp. Not comfortable at all. The owner was incredibly nice, helpful, and was eager to help whenever we had questions. The room was really old, worn, CLEAN, but just not up to par. The room was large, but essentially it needed a complete revamping. The breakfast (on paper plates) was good, but still it didn't justify the $130 with tax/night.
