From the waters of the Atlantic to the special blue color of the pottery in Safi to the peaceful colors of our room "Océan," all in all a very nice environment. We had breakfast one morning in the dining room just off the courtyard and had a nice view of the fountain and plants. The next morning our breakfast was... More

My wife and I, in our early 60’s, stayed one night at the Riad Safi. The Riad is centrally located within the Safi medina but a short walk out to the rest of the town. The Riad also was located only a short taxi ride (7 dirhans) from the CTM bus station, where we had arrived from Essaouira. Taxis are... More

Not checking Trip Advisor was regretable when we chose to stay at Riad Safi. Having experienced more than a dozen riads in Morocco this one is the worst by a long shot. The contrast with our usual (mid-range) standard was remarkable and surely must be an embarassment to the owners who were not in attendance. In a few words "sad... More

Our stay here was our 3rd after Marrakech and Essouira. This riad was a pretty building, but not quite as fancy as the others. Very functional and clean, and quiet however. The staff was outstanding and Jean Michel went the extra mile for us. Our rental car broke down and the replacement was to arrive at 11pm, then midnight, then... More

Our family of 6 (parents late thirties, grandparents late sixties, daughters 5 and 10) arrived in Safi for 3 nights after 3 nights at a comfortable 5-star hotel in Marrakech. My husband and I had wanted to see something more authentic in Morocco and based on all the raving reviews we had great expectations for Riad Safi. Finding the riad... More

My husband and I stayed here recently for 2 nights. We cannot believe that we stayed in the same riad as the other reviewers. The riad is neglected and cuold do with a good clean out. Our room was large but seemed to be totally uncared for and needed a good scrub. The shower, while spacious, turned hot and cold... More

I stayed there only one night but I have to say that it was a fantastic riad. Jean-Michel and his wife were incredible and really welcoming. I felt like home and we really enjoyed to have a traditionnal tea in the terrasse. the riad is right in the medina and is perfectly located. Me and my partner felt really welcomed,... More

Jean-Michel followed his passion to re-create an authentic Riad atmosphere in what is a more than 400 year old building in the heart of the Medina. True attention to detail, from decor to the breakfast menu, from excellent cuisine to really helpful advice on how to navigate Safi and the region. It's been a real pleasure spending a couple of...
