Spent two nights here in October 2011. I had a room on one of the top floors which was nicely appointed, the bed comfortable and the room clean. It had all the amenities I look for in a hotel room. The breakfast choice was vast although a bit overwhelming. Overall a good stay. More

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The majority of workers spoke a little English. Rooms kept very clean. 4 bottles of water were left in room after cleaning each morning and there was no problem getting more when needed at no additional cost. Breakfast was terrific. Wasn't too impressed with the overall feel of shangri-la in baotou. 1st of all, it lacked the kind of shangri-la's hospitality as evidenced in other shangri-la where there will be helpful bell boys helping with the luggage and doors.
