The room was affordable, and the customer service was great. However, the sheets had a cigarette burn and stains. More

Good Stuff: • Aside from not being "HOME", this "Extended Stay Hotel" in Newport News is comfortable and secure. • The Hotel Manager is conscientious and wants to ensure customers are provided a great stay experience. • Although the rooms are “seasoned”, the comfort and amenities are good. The shower is great, the bathroom is appropriate and the bedding is... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Extended Stay America Newport News - Oyster Point. Given our company's commitment to superior guest service, it was great to read about your positive experience with our staff. Of course, I was disheartened to read that your stay wasn't 100% satisfactory. You certainly have my sincerest apologies. It... More

My husband and I booked a room for 7 nights, however only stayed a couple hours before checking out. Upon arrival we got placed on the 1st floor (supposed to be an upgraded room from the Standard rooms available on 2nd and 3rd floor). The room was non-smoking, however, the top sheet smelled of cig. smoke. We decided to take... More

We were relocating to the area and needed a place for us and our animals. The price was good but otherwise the location was not. If you get there after the office has closed you have to call the night manager on a special phone and they did not answer and we had to try several times to reach them.... More

The moment that I pulled up to the room I was being wathced by hotel guests as if they were waiting to see what I was placing into the unit. Also there was a suspicious vehicle that circled the building multiple times that was filled with adult males. One of the men got out, ran up to a room handed... More

I checked in late at night with my teenage son. I was totally creeped out by the front desk staff. I was scared to death to travel to the elevator that led to my room. I was happy to have someone with me being a woman. The elevator sounded like it was getting stuck as it made its way up... More

I am currently staying in this Extended Stay. If my company hadn't paid for the room I wouldn't be staying here. All of the other complaints I have seen from others have not been in vain: 1) Smelled like smoking room upon arrival.even though door says non-smoking. 2) Sheets won't stay on bed. Not to mention nasty stains on the... More

I travel 8 to 9 months of the year and I stay with Extended Stay America across the country because I stay for a week or more. This hotel has it all from excellent customer service to clean rooms. The staff really show that they care about you, I was having some issues finding my way around and the front... More

The amenities in the room are horrible. I stayed in the Extended Stay in Secaucus New Jersey, and it was fabulous. So I figured it was the same chain, and they would be just as good. Absolutely not. This hotel should close its doors. There was no toilet paper in the room,no coffee to go along with the coffe maker they give... More

Family and friends traveled to VA for the AAU Track & Field Jr. Olympics and booked 6 rooms for a 7 day stay at Extended Stay - Chesapeak but due to renovations were moved to the Newport News location. Check-in - Angela was very nice but had to change our rooms 3 different times before we found a clean one.... More
