Booked 5 nights in hotel with British Airways in March 2010. Arrived late at night on 20th June only to find entrance to hotel closed and secured by chains & padlocks in charge of caretaker who had absolutely no command of English. Only managed to find somewhere to sleep that night due to the presence of mind of a very... More

we stayed for 3 nights in this hotel; the room was very spacious but dirty (toenails and hair on floors, very poor general maintenance throughout the hotel) breakfast was poor and the restaurant floors etc. were wornout. the swimming pool area was not cleaned for months (years ?) with mushrooms growing everywhere. Although i booked halfboard, they did not want... More

Probably our 9th stay at the Byblos and once again the ambiance of the place and hospitality of the staff are second to none. Complaints that this hotel is only accessible by car are understandable, but then why choose somewhere that is sandwiched delicately between golf courses if you wish to be in the middle of town, we always have... Just returned from our 7th trip to Byblos. Still very enjoyable with good service generally, but the financial problems that have beset the previous owners are evident in small but annoying ways. (Alan Sugar has just bought the hotel so there will undoubtedly be changes in future). Rooms still OK, but no tissues in the rooms, evidence that maintenance has... More

We were staying in a private villa on the Mijas golf course and went for supper one night at the Byblos restaurant. Firstly, if you order Paella, please bear in mind that you will pay 32 euros each not (as specified on their menu for 2 persons). They tried to charge us 128 euros, as 4 in our party decided... More

Stayed here for 2 days during our honeymoon and oh my God! What an amazing place. It's ideal to sleep in with your partner and chill out on the amazing terrace sipping on some wine. Beautiful rooms, all very unique in Andalusi style. The staff were amazing, didn't have to lift a finger. I love this hotel. More

We arrived at 7.30 on a Sunday evening to be told there was only 1 restaurant on the whole of the complex. There was no drinks machine available the only place we could get a drink from had to be purchased from the bar @ 5euros for the smallest bottled of coca cola and 7euros for a 500ml bottle of... Arrived for a family party, so just a weekend spent at the Hotel. Half hour from Malaga airport, hotel was very clean and staff polite. Breakfast was average - and very busy. Our room (a suite) was decidedly past it's sell by date and desperately needed a makeover! My brother also had a suite which was refurbished, and was much... More

Fantastic hotel. Extremely hard to find take a map with you if you hire a car. To get out and about a car is needed although a beautiful location that you could just chill in. Food and drink in hotel incredibly expensive but it is a five star hotel. Other eating places on the golf course very good and a... More

Just returned after spending 4 days at the Gran Hotel. We had a very large bedroom, large living room, huge bathroom with great round bath and with a double terrace! Rooms were very clean. In fact the room was great! Air con and heating was controlled from the room which was great. Being February it was sunny but wind a... More
