My partner and I stayed two nights at Hansons over a long weekend. We paid $240 a night for a downstairs room with a one person spa and a very small courtyard. “Avoid this place at all costs”

This is a disgraceful place. We paid a deposit which alone would have been too much. The Swan Valley is a dirty area - go to Margaret River instead. Everything about the region is filthy. “Doesn't deserve the reputation or price”

Frankly paying this sort of money for accommodation in WA you expect the best. Unfortunately Hansons is not there - not being purpose built it suffers from noise problems, and it appears old and tatty - needs some reinvestment and upgrading. Add to that cheap toilet paper and I'd say it's about 50% over-priced. Quite nice, but would try elsewhere... More
