Found these very basic and could best be described as a tourist cabin rather than a motel. Cleaning left a lot to be desired and update and maintenance well overdue. At the top end of the price scale and not comparable with motels of better quality at the same price we experienced on our travels.

We had a 7x person cabin for 6 days over Christmas. The cabin is basic, but has all you need when enjoying the camping experience. Lovely location someswhat spoilt by very average reception & service. Motel studios were lare enough but tired & need redecorating - & a good springclean wouldn't hurt. The place is being managed by a temperory manager who could do with a Kiwihost experience.

Just had five nights staying in a studio unit.Best break my husband and I have had in a long time.Lovely setting by the river and so quiet. We got fresh towels each day and I would recommend this to anyone.The rooms are roomy and the bed is huge.We just loved Northland and had a great look around.

Got free pick up from the airport, which I extremely appreciated in a small village where the public transport just doesn't exist and the airport is not close enough to walk to town.
