We stayed at the Inn for a week and found the place to be wonderful. The food was superb with a feast being prepared over the Easter Weekend that consisted of lots of fresh Fruit and Vegtables, and a choice of Turkey and Ham, followed by the most wonderful cheesecake I have ever tasted. We stayed in the Blue Ridge... More

A very nice place that is extremely close to the park entrance. We stayed on a Sunday/Monday and had the whole place to ourselves. Would be great to go back with a group of friends in the summer to take advantage of the bar, multiple decks, and the hot tub. Mike and Gwen were extremely friendly and prepared an extensive... More

After a long ride in traffic from DC on a Friday, we arrived to an EXTREMELY WELCOMING atmosphere at the Inn. Mike plied us with wine and hospitality before a 3 course dinner included in our package. Unwinding in the outdoor hot tub afterwards was the perfect start to the weekend. The next day we woke up in time for... More

We had a great stay at the Green Mountain Inn. Mike and Gwen were both very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were absolutely wonderful. I really appreciated that they had a community table as well as private tables for two so you could be social with other guests if you wanted or eat by yourself. It is only 6... More

The Greene Mountain Inn was a great spot for a weekend away from life in DC. The food was excellent, especially the breakfasts: egg, sausage and mushroom casseroles; blueberry and strawberry pancakes; espresso; pumpkin bread; muffins; yogurts and granola; locally-raised bacon. I'm the type who likes to turn the alarm off and sleep in heavily on weekends, but waking up... More

From the first communication with Mike, we had no doubt this was going to be a special weekend. Mike was helpful with the planning including locating a wonderful officiant, Gay Lee Einstein. Through e-mails and phone calls, Mike took the time to get to know us and planned what could only be described as three days of perfection! The Inn... More

Wish we had had as good an experience as other reviewers. I'll start with the positives. Proximity to the National Park is a real plus - great place for a scenic drive or hike. The house is fairly new, our bed was super comfortable with quality linens, and our package included two dinners (one out and one in) and two... More

Mike and Michelle were both such wonderful hosts. The home cooked meals, the cozy bedroom, and the picturesque location all made that weekend perfect. It's right next to an entrance to the Shenandoah National Park, and it is only a few minutes from the delicious restaurants in Stanardsville. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend. I can't say a single thing... More

Beautiful Inn, great hospitality, and delicious food. Mike was very helpful, hospitable, and very nice. We had wonderful breakfast two mornings, the packed lunch (very delicious and worthwhile if you are planning a hike) and a hearty yummy supper Friday night. The location was perfect, close to many wineries, attractions, and of course Shenandoah National Park. Can't say anything negative... More
