Delicious, more than ample breakfasts! I'm hoping for a couple of recipes. We prefer our coffee a bit stronger but everyone doesn't. Since we were staying for 3 nights we chose a suite for a bit of room-- Patrick #27 was soooo comfortable. Great mattress/bed. Wonderful hosts-very helpful!!!

Thank you for your review of Frederick House. We consider all reviews to be valuable information for us. Many of our guests like our coffee as it is. We have stronger coffee for those who tell their server they would like stronger coffee. More

A friend and I stayed at Frederick House our first night on a vacation - found Frederick House in AAA Guide. What a wonderful experience... My first thought upon entering the room (actually roomS), was how lovely the decor is. There was a charming entry into a "foyer" (which included a desk/chair; then a comfortable sitting room with 2 chairs,... More

Frederick House is a collection of seven buildings that the owners have put together over time, so obviously the description of one room doesn't apply to the others. We stayed in the Womack house and had a decent-sized, antique-furnished room accessed through a common sitting room. Had other guests been using that sitting room the glass doors into ours would... Although we only live one town away, the Frederick House is our favorite getaway location for a night away from the kids with dinner and a show. The close proximity to many great restaurants and the American Shakespeare Company's Blackfriars theater means we can park the car once and walk everywhere. We have stayed in at least 3-4 different rooms... More

Our room was pleasant, clean and comfortable ... but oh those towels and sheets! Have all American B&Bs adopted these awful microfibre towels? They are horrible to use, non absorbent and - contrary to how they are advertised - take ages to dry! The sheets were some kind of artificial fibre too - they certainly didn't feel like cotton! We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite(Patrick-28). It was nice the rooms were clean, nice high ceilings. The drawback was that we had no amenities in the building. So we would have to walk down the hill for breakfast, ice, and whatever else you may need. The room was very easy to break into and we were a little worried.... More

We stayed in a one-bedroom suite (McClure 1) that we totally loved. The building is historical, and our rooms were totally charming, with (by my estimate) a 12 foot ceiling in the bedroom and a 20 foot ceiling in the common area. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. The suite was equipped with a kitchen, books to read, a cribbage board... More

Booked Frederick House from a Panera Bread in VA after being forced out of our log cabin by a swarm of ladybugs! We got so lucky as Joe & Evy couldn't have been more welcoming. We love Staunton, this B&B and feel totally relaxed. I heartily recommend the AWESOME whole grain waffles for breakfast whereas my husband now wants the... More

Great B&B in old town Staunton, VA, that has grown to 60+ rooms by acquiring several adjacent historic structures and converting them to lodging. We had one of the downstairs suites in the Patrick House unit on New Street, half a block up from the main office. Roomy beyond compare, great high ceilings, nicely appointed, and wi-fi! Only the towels... More

We have travelled South to North Myrtle Beach in late Feb for the past 7 years. We stumbled onto The Frederick House by chance that first year and were so impressed that we now schedule our route and time frame to include a stay with them.Evie and Joe,the owners, always greet us with open arms, though they only see us once or...
