my husband and I were supposed to stay there for 4 nights but we checked out after 1 night! The room had a bad odor, the furniture was old, there were hair in the bath tub, and the front desk (Indian) guy was unprofessional/rude! He messed up our bill and double charged on one of our credit cards without permission!!... More

The motel style rooms are fairly clean and tidy. Carpets were better than most motels in this price range, as was the tile in bathroom. Our room with a king bed was a good size, with room to move. There was also a mini-fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. All in all, the room itself was pretty decent, especially for the price.... More

The room was fine. I had an efficiency suite. They advertised WiFi but it wasn't working. I had to get a ether cable from the guy on reception who looked like he had slept in his clothes. On the fourth day the stove blew a fuse and they were quick to dispatch maintenance to fix it.....HOWEVER....the maintenance man, as soon... More

we were here to visit our son who is stationed across @ the amphibase and stayed at thi hotel. it is convenitently located within walkin distance from his station and is accesible to super markets within blocks. the hotel turned out to be a pleasant surprise as due to its warm hospitality and clean rooms and good smal breakfast bar.... This place is pretty dirty, and the staff is more intersted in filing their nails or smoking cigarettes. Everything about this place exudes carelessness. More

The Howard Johnson located on Shore Drive in Virginia Beach was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. Not only is it old and in desperate need of repair, but all the rooms have been smoked in (even when they claim to be smoke free.) We found pubic hairs in our shower and on the floor in the bathroom.... More

Having stayed at a much worse hotel than this, my review may be a little softer than it should be. The hotel was not 'horrible' but it wasn't 'good' either. My age was questioned and scrutinized (even though I had my drivers license and showed it to the hotel manager). It was cheap for the area and you got what... More

Never stay here. If you need to stay near the Naval Base, stay at the Quality Inn next door. There are dozens of other hotels nearby that have similar rates, and much better service and accomodations. The thing I found most frustrating about this hotel is that there is only ONE person working there at a time. The two people... More

It looks old and warn-out and it is! The front desks told us the management recently updated and renovated all of the rooms and then showed us glossy pictures of a nice looking hotel room. What a scam! The cheep beds might have been new – they were rock hard. The carpet might also have been new – most of... More

I had the extreme displeasure of staying at this hotel for four nights. I must add that I didn't stay at this hotel by choice. Our group attended a conference at nearby Little Creek and this hotel was the one our boss decided to put us in. Needless to say I was trapped. The front desk clerk, Rapul, seemed rather... More
