We were traveling to PA for a a wedding and stayed one night here on our way. Accommodations were most comfortable and the location was great as we parked our car when we arrived and then walked through the town and pedestrian mall. The hostess recommended a wonderful restaurant and made reservations for us. A lovely inn and we will... More

Thanks so much! We are very lucky to have such a great location in Old Town. The restaurant, One Block West, is a special dining experience. The chef is creative in the menu planning and preparation, and he is also very much into using local and regional farms for produce and meats. Therefore he changes his menu daily to reflect... More

My wife and I spent one night at the Old Waterstreet Inn and were delighted. The home is well-appointed and very tastefully decorated. The inn's location is ideal for exploring downtown Winchester on foot. We parked our car when we arrived and didn't move it until we departed the following day. Jeannie was very informative and made us feel at... More

Thanks so much for the positive comments. I especially liked that you found appreciation in the craftsmanship of the Study - a special room I think. Not everyone's "cup of tea" because of all the wood, but we find that guests who love it... really love it! Having great guests like yoursleves makes our job easier and enjoyable, and interesting.... Immaculate, with wonderfully decorated and comfortable rooms. Delicious breakfast -best coffee cake ever. Walking distance to historic Winchester, and we appreciated the detailed guidance and assistance from the inn keeper to chose a great restaurant. Lovely terrace and yard. Choose a room in the back, as street noise at night is problematic. Our bed was outrageously comfortable but squeaked with... More

Thank you, Joanne, for taking the time to write a review, and for the good rating and positive comments. Glad you enjoyed the breakfast, and the recommendation to go to Violinos for dinner - one of our best restaurants ! Regarding the negative aspects - I do wish you had mentioned the bathroom to us. We try very hard to... More

Thanks for all of your positive comments! One of the best things about running a B&B is when you have people stay who really enjoy themselves, and you feel you have helped to create a special memory for them. Yes, Winchester is a good base to do a lot of things in the area, and it has a number of... More

Jeannie sincerely cares about making your stay comfortable. Unfortunately, Erik was away and we were not able to meet him. Don't hesitate staying at the Old Waterstreet Inn! It is a great location, delicious breakfasts, and very clean and comfortable rooms. We stayed in the Winesap room.............big, bright, and nicely decorated. Of course, flowers and chocolates are always a nice... More

We were traveling with another couple and wished to stay where we could walk to shopping, restaurants and to enjoy the town close up. This had to be the best pick in all of Winchester. There were a multitude of restaurants of all types. Our innkeeper graciously steered us to her favorites to choose from which we thoroughly enjoyed. The... More

We were looking for a good "never been to" place not too far from home for a long weekend. We settled on Winchester; a town we have passed by over the years, but never stopped. We scheduled two days thinking there might not be much to offer and planned another day elsewhere. We selected Old Waterstreet because of its proximity... More

Our trip to the US included a night in Winchester. We stayed at the Old Waterstreet Inn, in Mr Moore's Study. The house was beautiful, with tasteful decor and the accommodation was spotlessly clean. Mr Moore''s Study was a smallish room off the dining room but the bedding was wonderful and we had an excellent breakfast. The en suite was... More

Thank you so much for your compliments. You're right, Mr. Moore's Study is our smallest room, and serves well for a 1 or 2 night stay. But for more days, or for guests who have tons of luggage, it's best to choose on the other rooms, which are all spacious. More
