We stopped in Bellingham overnight to visit friends on our way to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. We were pleased with the room: it's size, decorations and furnishings. In addition, the staff were very friendly and easy to talk to. Our room overlooked the Bellingham Bay but the views are distant and also include industrial buildings and train tracks! Breakfast... The historic Fairhaven District of Bellingham in the northwest corner of Washington has all the quanint trappings of an artisie tourist warren. In fact that is what it basically is. But with its cute little square and view of Bellingham Bay one can be forgiven for being enchanted by it all in spite of yourself. The Fairhaven Inn is the... More

Usually my wife and I seek out more distant locations for our getaways from the Seattle area, but for this trip we decided to minimize travel time and hassle (i.e., no ferries, no lengthy freeway drives). We've also wanted to explore the Bellingham area for some time, and after reading Trip Advisor reviews, we decided to stay in the historic... More

If you want to go back to the "good old days" when rooms were well made and no hint of loud ice machines and banging door then your in luck. The staff was as charming as the hotel. I am already looking forward to the next time we get to stay there. More

Had a terrific one night stay at this outstanding hotel in the Fairhaven section of Bellingham. The staff was extra friendly and helpful, and our room had a wonderful view of the harbor and a cozy gas fireplace. The location is perfect-just walk out thedoorto great restaurants and an outstanding independent bookstore. More

We had a great time at this hotel. It was excellent. Rooms better than expected. Breakfast was good, daughters loved the waffles. The location can't be beat. There only two small reasons I did not give it a five star. Fruit on the breakfast bar would be nice - apples or oranges would have been great. I could not sit... More

Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay with us at the Fairhaven Village Inn. The "stars" you awarded us are greatly appreciated! Our simple continental breakfast, while it does not include apples and oranges, as you pointed out, does include a berry medley of raspberries, blueberries and strawberries which guests add to their cereal, yogurt or... This fabulously sparkling clean property is supremely located....after you park your vehicle, you will want to stroll through the village on foot. The charming area of Fairhaven has lots of cute boutiques and good selection of restaurants. The Inn is pure charm. A quaint library with a large fireplace, books and games await you. Our standard, bay view room had... More

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had a double Queen on the 3rd floor on the water side. The room was large with a view and a fireplace. Every staff member we talked to was wonderful. Breakfast was simple with cereal, waffles, toast/bagels, & yogurt. The sitting room has a fireplace and comfy chairs and was a... More

This is THE place to stay if you enjoy any of the three activities listed in the title above. Consistently service-oriented staff and delightful rooms are assumed, of course. The unique aspects of staying at The Fairhaven Village Inn are its immediate proximity to a walking path along Bellingham Bay that terminates in a delightful park. . . and spectacular... More

Dear Sightseer, walker, diner and reader, Indeed, the Inn’s guests are rewarded daily by the vitality of dozens of one-of-a-kind shops, galleries and over 20 restaurants within four blocks of the front door. No chain stores here! Village Books is, indeed, a Fairhaven icon that embraces readers at all levels from those into eatable hard cover books to hip digital... More
