My husband and I stayed there two nights after our wedding just to get away. My only complaint would be the trains passing by 24 hours a day. You can't hear them when you watch a movie, but it can interupt your sleep until you get use to them. The first night was the worst when it came to the... More

What a great weekend getaway. The Olympic Club in Centralia Washington is a piece of history captured in time. From the moment you walk in the door, you walk back 100 years. The original front desk with all its beveled glass backdrop is followed by the original bar and billiards room. The billiard tables are over 100 years old and... More

We regularly stop at the Olympic Club on our way up and down I-5 for lunch or dinner, and sometimes hang around for a move, but this time we stayed in the rooms. They are wonderfully decorated (in McMenamins artsy style), and have a real historic feel to them. They're small, but very clean. Shared bathrooms, but very comfortable, clean,... More

We stayed at the hotel with another family and had 3 rooms. We had dinner in the restaurant and our kids watched a movie in the theater. The room was nice. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The bathrooms are shared, but it was right next to our room and it was fine. Earplugs are provided as the... More

Ok, it's definitely a vintage theater. You'll see little tears in the screen that will let a little sunlight in during the daytime, but don't pay any attention to that and you'll forget it's there in no time. The Oly Club is a former gentlemen's club of days gone by. The bar/lounge are nice enough, but it's the theater that... More

The food is good but not outstanding. The beer is outstanding. But the best thing about this place is the atmosphere. It still feels like an old Northwest bar-and-brothel. Snag one of the booths and enjoy the atmosphere while you have a brew and burger. Relax for half an hour before you tackle the damn I-5 again. When the traffic... More

This historic hotel is part of the McMenamins group of hotels and pubs which are located throughout Oregon and Washington. It's located in an old boarding house next to the train station. You can walk off the train and within 100 yards you're in the hotel. My wife and I have stayed their a few evenings and really enjoy it.... More

Spacious, historical place with visible sections i.e. bar, pool table area, sitting/dining area. Never had a problem with the staff, but I do have a problem with $6.00 drinks. Let me sell my car so I can buy a round, I mean you'll have to lean on happy hour like a crutch if you're looking to drink. Playing pool isn't... More

Take time to eat dinner and even stay in this historic hotel which was previously a brothel. The restaurant is loaded with memorabilia and the 27 room hotel is funky and fun. More

This got a 2-out-of-5 only because the staff is very friendly, and it seems that they try their very hardest to make sure all the small details are taken care of for you. That said, you are sleeping above a movie theater, and beside a very active railroad track that sees trains coming through every two hours or so (and... More
