The Freestone Inn is an ideal place for a cross country ski weekend. The hotel itself is quiet and clean. Stepping out the door you have access to a wonderful system of cross country runs without having to drive to a snow park.

We stayed in a one-bedroom Early Winters cabin at Freestone this January. It was roomy, comfortable, and private. I was disappointed that the bedroom had a full-sized bed, and it was a giggly one at that. There was plenty of room for a queen or even king bed, and a higher-quality or newer mattress would have made all the difference.

We went in the summer and the Freestone Inn is a great place to stay for day hikes in North Cascades National Park. After hiking, the hot tub was a wonderful way to end the evening. And drinking a glass of wine on the balcony. It was still really cool at night so we were able to make use of...

We have been coming to the Freestone since our son was 6 weeks old (in October 1996),
he is now 15. It has the feel of an early 20th century lodge in one of the great national parks of
the West. The scenery is as spectacular as any in the lower 48-just drive a few miles west on the North...

We always enjoy the Methow Valley and the Freestone Inn. This time we stayed in one of the sudio cabins that we favorably equate to luxury camping. The cabin is simple, rustic and situated next to a babbling brook that provides a peaceful melody all night long. That combined with easy day hikes from the cabin yield a restfull sense...

The Freestone is a flat out beautiful lodge and a lovely lake. We go back year after year for a September retreat. The changing light of the lake is beautiful, day and night. Food and staff are also excellent.
My grandkids call this "The Big House." They like to visit there each summer too. Biking, fishing and boating in the...

This was one of our very favorite places on our cross-country bicycle trip. It is very comfortable, has a great restaurant, is in a lovely setting, and is in an area that deserves much more time to explore than we had. We were in the main lodge, and loved looking out on the little lake. We also loved having so...

We spent two nights in one of the cabins at the Freestone Inn. The cabins are separate from the main lodge and quite spread out in the pine forest. You can see the other cabins, but you're a good 40 yards away from the closest one. Our cabin was right by the stream and it made pleasant sounds as it...

We stayed at the Freestone Inn with friends from Bellevue, WA. The inn has a relaxing atmosphere with a viewing area to relax and watch the sun rise or set over a large pond that is stocked with fish for fly fishing. The dinner was superb and reasonably priced. The staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. The rooms were large...
