Staying in Mazama gives you access to miles of peaceful, beautiful trails without needing a car to get to them. Our room was simple but comfortable and the kitchenette (microwave, coffee pot, toaster, fridge, burner) allowed us to make simple meals. As mentioned, other than coffee mugs, only disposable plates are provided. We brough along some bowls to use in... More

The setting is wonderful, the rooms are relaxingly simple and comfortable, the outdoor activity possibilities from this location are outstanding . . . but the real reason to stay at the Mazama Ranch House is the wonderfully easy, friendly and nice owner, Steve. It's true - you may talk with him much more than you'll see him, but that's just... More

A beautiful country setting. The room was large and warm. Bed was comfortable. Although there was a fridge, micro and single hotplate, there were only disposable plates, glasses, and cutlery. One small pot. We borrowed a salad bowl, wine glasses, and mid size pot from the nearby suite, which was well-stocked. No owner or manager on site when we've been... More

This is one of our favorite places to stay East of the mountains. The Ranch House has a wonderful western feel, and is clean and comfortable. We always bring the horses and have a fantastic weekend. The trail system is amazing and beautiful, with trails both flat and some good climbs depending on what you are hoping for. The rooms... More

We have been driving the North Cascades Scenic Highway with a rental car and have been looking for an accommodation for one night. We took the exit from the main road to have a look for accommodation in Mazama. We just stopped in front of the lovely Mazama Ranch House and called up Steve as the office was closed. He... More

casual and clean, right on the wonderful trail system, if you have horses there's even a place for them here, or have your kids bring their bikes. There are lots of easy beautiful trails right outside the door ( right on the ski trails in the winter if you enjoy cross country it cant be beat). You can walk to... More

My friends and I have been staying at the Ranch House during President's day weekend every year for over 20 years. We rent the 5 bedroom 2 bath house, all 8 side rooms and the small Long Horn cabin. The house has a full kitchen and large dining table. It is not luxury but it is clean and comfortable. Of... More

I have stayed here twice in 2 years and love the friendly and knowledgable staff, the comfort and facilities for my horses and of course the proximity to the Methow Valley trail system. The kitchen set up saved us lots of money and Steve was extremely helpful and accomodating. He caters to horse people and is very common sense, no... More

Steve was very unhelpful and unfriendly over the phone. I tried booking many rooms for my family over an entire weekend. I found out a few weeks before we were to arrive that Steve had given one of the rooms away. He was unapologetic. Half of my family ended up staying at the Mazama Country Inn next door.

We booked a room for (only!) 1 night for logistical purposes -- closest lodging over the North Cascades from Portland. Very reasonable, *very* peaceful and relaxing and of course extremely beautiful surroundings. The room was wonderful. We had a 2 bed room, very roomy with kitchenette facilities, roomy *full* bath, doors out to porches on both sides. If we had... More
