We accidentally found this hotel while driving back from the coast to Seattle. It was a lovely property and pet friendly. The breakfast option we took was a little weak. Once the wait person found out we did the buffet option service went down hill. However the view from the dining room was amazing.

Before booking, we reviewed all the potential places to stay in Olympia (we were traveling from Portland to the Olympic NP area) and thought the Red Lion would be adequate. I would highly recommend finding a location other than Olympia. The hotel was in desperate need of update, although the staff was friendly and helpful.

Stayed fir the weekend with a large family group gathering for a wedding. Rooms were nice, comfortable beds, free wireless Internet. Breakfast buffet was good. Could have been stocked better with food. Nice grounds. We walked to the capitol grounds.

We were ther for only one night but we were treated as though we were very important.
